Just sayin'.

huh?

Well it looks like GM Doug Wilson is selling him as if he isn't having a rough stretch. Bob McKenzie said multiple GMs/Scouts think Clowe will start hitting his career averages with a change in scenery. Sather and Gorton probably are the ones that think so.

Even Clowe at normal production isn't worth a 1st, 2nd and top prospect as a rental. That's pretty close to what Hossa and Kovalchuck returned (basically just missing the roster player), and he's nowhere near that level even on his very best day.

Ugh, Dreger said the price was a 1st or a 2nd and a decent prospect for Clowe. Let's try and get things straight, shall we?

Really?

There was a thread on the Sharks board saying Dreger said 1st/2nd/prospect.

I hate misleading info. 2nd/prospect is much more realistic.

People close to the Bruins believe they have acquired Iggy for Bartkowski, Khokhlachev, and a first, per McKenzie in between second and third periods. Says it has not been confirmed by the Flames...

how do NYR trade for Clowe unless Sather deals the 1st round from 2014 or maybe Sharks want a former first round pick.. Sather maybe trades Brady Skjei??

lol Feaster.

What a joke. The rich get richer.

That is worse than the Leetch trade.

It's a sellers market.

thats the best he could do for Iginla?

He severely undervalued him for mediocre assets in return. Boston gets an elite winger for scraps. On the other hand, we payed the moon for Nash. Sucks, but Rangers luck I guess.

It's always a sellers market... And nobody is forced to trade for Clowe, especially with him having such a bad season. San Jose can ask for the moon, but that doesn't mean they'll get it. I think only a first or 2nd + prospect will be the most they'll get.

Clowe is very much having interest league wide. The Canucks, Bruins and Habs all had/still have great interest in adding him.

This year's seller market is even bigger. Look at the returns marginal players like Murray and Morrow got.

If they can get Torres for less then I rather go that route , I like Clowe a ton but zero goals in 25 games, yuck

I think the reality is Richards, Gaborik need to start picking it up or the team is doomed

they will just improve the bottom 6 and ride the big money players they currently have

Gaborik (pre Philly) was getting quality chances, Richards had a great game vs Philly.

If D. Boyle is unavailable, or too costly, I would try and push for Derek Morris, and Clowe. Would be excellent pick ups. Boyd Gordon is another one, but there is going to be an all out bidding war for him. Morris plays very well under Tippet, and struggled with the safe is death system Torts tried during their short stint together. He fits the system now, and I would see these two players as ideal players to trade for.

St. Croix, 2nd, conditional 3rd (finals appearance) for Clowe

Pyatt, Bourque, 3rd for Morris
