Someone said Connor Allen is RD, even though stats says he is lefty shot.

Would be useful option moving Girardi if Allen can be promoted as an RD.

Is Allen RD?

Thanks

Allen is experienced playing both sides of the ice, from what I remember, but someone else can answer for which side he's on in HFD.

Yeah, he's a lefty, but so are 2/3 NHL defensemen. Some of them have to play primarily on their off side.

I love how Boston making us look bad in game 2 means they handed us our lunch, but us dominating them in game 1 means nothing.

Us being fresh and them playing a tough game the night before might have had something to do with it. On equal rest, Boston dominated. It was at their arena, but they have handled this group last season are band now this season.

Under that same concept, can you please explain how LA managed to dominate us (again by only a 1 goal victory) the night after they partied all night in NYC?

Just wondering.

Boston is a real though team. The intimidating factor is not to be underestimated. That is why no one is cheap shooting their star players like Eriksson etc.

Damn, if we could somehow get Ryan Clowe from 3 years ago in a package for Del Zotto...

He'd be the perfect addition to this team. He changed the whole locker room dynamic we had last year heading into the playoffs. His absence was sorely missed against the Caps and the Bruins.

What makes our strategy with who to trade and for what is so difficult. Essentially we need 2 players. Another top 6 goal scorer and a gritty 3rd line energy forward that makes it known he has our players' backs. Problem is we also need to replace Richards and ideally the top 6 goal scorer would be a center. None of those players grow on trees.

It's likely why Sather is taking so long in trading Del Zotto. He needs to strike gold in his trade. Otherwise his plan requires more steps.

Gotta wonder what Dany Heatley will command as far as a contract goes? He's a free agent next season. He's 32. Past his prime, but can still score goals. Rangers need a goal scorers. Lets say Girardi walks as a free agent next season. Could get fit here?

To be more specific, we need another top 6 winger that can create on his own like Nash. This team does not need another one dimensional winger like Gaborik, again. For the third line, we could use a guy like Glencross from Calgary.

ugh no thanks...id rather have a younger player get a chance

Heatley is painfully slow, broken down, and he cannot still score goals, he's got 6 in 30 games.

I'm still waiting for any kind of shakeup for this team. It has been about 30 games. AV knows what he has. They need to make moves.

I am too. I really expected it around the beginning or middle of November and really, I expected it to be less of a trade situation and more of a youth movement. Maybe we're seeing the beginning of that with Pouliot scratched and Miller replacing him.

Striking gold ain't easy when you're scratching the guy in favor of Faulk. You aren't trying to showcase him, and scouts couldn't watch him if they wanted to.

It's quite simple. LA is a better team.

… and how do we know how hard anyone partied. For all we know the Kings players were tucked in by 10:30, and the Rangers were still playing beer pong at 4am.

They might have been. The Rangers flight only got in an hour before that. Maybe they had a beer pong tournament at the airport.

Many teams need shakeups. Have to get the right deal for DZ or just keep him.

Pyatt and pouliott are negative value. Bringing up miller and dealing for beach or ahl depth us an attempt To get better

2 Things.

Del zotto is def in play but we've done a nice job trashing his value so now were gonna see what happens when the vultures circle and offer scraps. He's going no where right now. At this point it's all about hoping he can improve his play. Good luck with that.

The team is seeing if falk can play minutes. Dz knows that's the guy who's gonna take his spot when he's moved.

This team can get by with the defense as is minus dz and adding falk if we can get a 2nd line scoring winger with some size and snarl.

The d isn't bad at all. If hank had played better, the d corps would be top 5 in the entire league.

With Stamkos out, maybe they would want Pouliot. He played for them last year and did well. MDZ + Pouliot for Connolly and Sustr?

Boston is a better team than we are, I am not getting into a debate over that.

But we played them really well in the first. I thought they played really well, but we were even slightly better.

But they got to us, we started playing that throw the puck away style again, and it looked like the POs again.

My point is just, come spring Bos should beat us. But we should be able to compete. If you can compete, anything can happen. We stole a series against the Caps, they were better than us. I think we should get to a level were we beat Boston 1/5 at least.

I always think he looks a tad better than what I am expecting when I see him play. Like you expect him to be to be done completely because you hear so little about him, but he is still a NHLer at least.

I am not sure in what environment he is a fit though. If we buy BR out there might be some room for him. But he ain't fast...
