Why? The guy is a legitimate threat on the point. We haven't had a true PP QB/ offensive defenseman in a long time. But I'm not really sold on DZ being a consistent 40 point defenseman either

Even though he has consistently been on the cusp of 40 point seasons multiple times? And he is still so young, 23 years of age I believe. DZ for Campbell is a terrible idea.

Yes. I would have preferred to send something the other way for cap purposes but I wanted to claim him as well. Jokinen is still a very versatile and effective player and good for him for going to a contender. Still wish it could've been us

I am positive that if this trade actually happens, you would be among those bashing Sather in a couple of years for trading away youth for aging vets.

He's been making plays like this gem dating back to last season. Single handedly killing offense. Kid just doesn't have the skill as a scorer to be a 2C. I love him at 3C though; perfect fit and there's no shame in it for a 22/23 year old.
