RNH for Jones
Eberle+Schultz for Hamonic+

Pouliot/McDavid/Yakupov
______/________/_________
_____/________/Hendricks

Jones/Sekera
Klefbom /Hamonic
Chychrun/Nurse
Reinhart

________
Broissoit or Nilsson/Talbot

At least the pieces are there on defense and the top 6 is pretty strong. Signing good bottom 6 players in free agency shouldn't be too hard

Trading for Ham is nuts. He would come here and suck, and we would overpay. It's just the way the Oilers work. Keep running the kids on the blue line.

Overpay? Trading Eberle for him is fine. Our star studded Rwer Eberle that all of you are fawning over SUCKS. soft as heck won't go in the boards all he does is stand around and dangle around ghosts and does **** all.

Trade eberle i swear the guy is complete crap out there. What's he done thats warranted him to get all of your guys support? When he starts scoring points near the end of the season WHEN we're last place and the other teams don't give a **** when they place us? You know what a player is called when he starts playing his game near the end of the season. A LOSER

I am in the camp that wants to trade Eberle as well.

First of all, out of the expendables, he is the one that will fetch you the biggest return.

Second of all, he is WAY too easy to play against. Has the guy ever thrown a hit or even finished a hard check? It's nice that he can score (sometimes), but seriously we are in a conference where WE NEED to be hard to play against... If he's not scoring he's literally doing jack **** out there.

Ebs is a good player. He's just not the player we need in my eyes.

It's clear to me that RNH and Eberle are not 100% right now. Both have been worlds better than what they are now. That said if both keep this level of play the rest of the season then we will be a high lottery team.

How many teams need 6 high-end forwards? For the love of god, Chiarelli please balance this team out.

Eberle by all means is completely expendable. There's zero reason to have a complementary, offense-only player on your team, when your icing out the worst D corps in the league.

If Yakupov had any substantial value I would say trade him instead, but he's tenacious and is a ~ppg player beside McDavid at 2.5M/yr. It would be wrong to trade him away for scraps.

Our forward skeleton should be:

Hall - RNH - Draisaitl
Pouliot - McDavid - Yakupov
XXX - XXX - XXX
XXX - XXX - XXX

Klefbom - XXX
Nurse - Sekera
XXX - Schultz

Talbot/Nilsson

These are the players we should base this team around. Everyone else is fodder.

I don't think even those two playing at their level will knock this team outside a lottery pick. This team is just putrid. If our bottom 6 wasn't so useless and was able to be on the scoring sheet, then they wouldn't need to rely on guys like Hall every single game to score.

Here's the thing, we have seemingly NEVER had 2 top 6 lines clicking at the same time since this rebuild started. If we had the Pouliot-RNH-Eberle line clicking like they were last season and the Hall line clicking we'd be worlds better. Instead last year Hall struggled so the others picked it up, now he's doing well and they aren't. :help: It's almost as if there is a predetermined path and that we will end up with another high lottery pick or who knows maybe more than 1 more and then we will suddenly take off. That or we'll end up going down in history as one of the greatest underachieving team in sports history.

Hello darkness my old friend

Haha, legitimately laughed at this.

It's like the injuries are getting even more ridiculous. Next game RNH will get a laser pointer in the eye and slip and twist his ankle or something like that.

I wish Chiarelli would do something about the bottom six. They're atrocious.

Either way, its absolutely numbing as an oilers fan. The fact that we're not only in last place but have talks of the damn upcoming draft/Matthews days before Christmas is just depressing. I don't think I can find it within myself to watch the oilers play until McDavid comes back.
