You could say that if he was 30 years old but he just turned 26. Of course he's not the same as Makar and Fox but why would you want to move him when it's worse than a shit stain on Defence without him lol?
The only reason I mentioned it is because of Chychruns name being tossed around. He's another top pairing guy who is young and cost controlled that would basically just be a lateral move that frees up 5+ million for the next four years and 9.25 over the following three years. It's a huge amount of money.

It means you might be able to keep Broberg out of the deal and we hope he becomes the top four guy that's keeping him out of proposals today. Otherwise yeah, load up a package of futures, include Broberg and XB and bring in another legit top pairing guy to bump the whole depth chart down.

Nurse/Chych - Bouch
Nurse/Chyc - Ceci
Keith - Barrie isn't bad imo.

If your proposal doesn't seriously hurt to give up then Arizona isn't accepting it.

Chychrun isn't coming without at LEAST one blue chip and a couple firsts with a roster player who isn't a cap dump.
Holloway or Broberg, Yamamoto, and 2 firsts for Chychrun
Koskinen and Lavoie for MAF(50%)

Barrie for picks

I think this thread is pure Gold. At the start of this if you even mention trading Mcdavid you had computer heroes attacking you and trying to spin it to benefit them . Now it seems like ever the second post has Mcdavid in some kinda trade offer. Seems to me like this room is now full of trolls cause they have mentioned trading Mcdavid.Your all evil lol

It's a gamble with the blue chips, but this is something I'd consider now. If we're bringing in cost controlled legit talent I'm okay with sending out futures even if they are blue chips like Holloway and Broberg. Maybe you can get away with only one first rounder if Holloway is in there. Most AZ fans on the mains don't seem to care as much for Broberg. The big ask from us is always Holloway. Maybe that lessens the whole package.

I understand if people thinking trading Holloway is stupid, but if you can acquire legit talent for him you don't need to wait and see what he might become. That's worth it imo cause the only real risk comes a few years down the road and by then we're hoping we've made enough noise to re-sign McDrai.

Lookit the Caufield hypetrain. Look how quickly that dried up while he goes through growing pains. It could easily happen with Holloway too.

Wow, Spector is making himself look really bad right now on Stauffer's show. This whole segment is hard to listen to.

Mark Spector had better be banned from the press here. An absolute utterly embarrassing meltdown with Stauffer. Stupid useless piece of shit of a person

It's not that I want him gone. It's that I think the contract will age poorly. That doesn't mean I don't want Koskinen gone but he's gone this summer anyways.

I said I'd love to retain nurse and add in Chychrun on top of possible, but that caphit. I'm not overly optimistic about that one and I'm pretty optimistic about everything Oilers related. I don't dislike Nurse at all and I love what he brings and that he wants to be here. It's strictly from a financial standpoint. Nuge is the same for me, and I know neither guy gets moved after signing such a long term commitment. But if you could, I honestly think it would be the wiser play.

Fully acknowledge he hasn't even played a full season yet, but I also don't think it's entirely unfair to think he won't continue to blossom into a legit 9 million dollar defenseman. He's up there with guys like Makar and Fox in terms of value, but on ice I don't think he's near them in skill. Not trying to slight Nurse here, just giving my opinion. I hope he does continue to improve as he has every year. I'll happily look back and say I was an idiot for even thinking these things if he takes that next step. It could wind up another Drai situation in which case we win huge.
Crazy to think Keith gets paid more than Chychrun. Only if Holland did his GM due diligence he would have know he would be available and could have made a move in the summer

No he didnt

That was before “the incident”. Either way, he sure will now. Who cares what he says anyways?

I hope that people stop tuning in when he’s on during Oilers Now (a texted asked Bob to find another guest for the Tuesday slot) and stop clicking his articles.

He needs to be gone, pronto

What happened?

Long story short:

Jim Matheson asked Draisaitl a stupid question. Draisaitl didn't give much of an answer. Jim asked him to expand on it, Draisaitl said no and something to the tune of "you can do that, you know everything". Matheson asked why Draisaitl was so pissy and then had the gall to try to ask a followup question about Draisaitl looking frustrated on the ice, Draisaitl laughed him off.

Then Spector goes on OilersNow and carves Draisaitl saying stupid stuff like "which of those two is in the Hall of Fame".

To much for Chychrun. I know we get a player but that is just too many assets. I would rather pooch this season.
I've heard that way too many times with so many other prospects that never panned out(guilty myself of saying it).
"Patience" "Going the right direction" "We already have the tools" is all a bunch of bullshit from people too afraid of making a tough decision

Well they both will be, except one will have gotten there by actually DOING something, you f***ing idiot Spec. Always hated that guy, like downright HATE him. He is, and always has been, clueless.

As much as I hate to admit it, I can't help but feel that if we don't go on a deep run this year, one or both of McDrai will ask out this summer. It's been alluded to several times by Elliote Friedman, and the stench of losing is growing by the day, while Ken Holland comes out publicly and says he is willing to do nothing to improve the team.
