I didn't say he's a #1, but he's already a top pair guy with significant upside to his game. He's two years younger the McDonagh. I'd give Kreider + Miller + 1st for him.

No way id give Miller... Miller is too important and can play multiple forward positons.

I don't think it's okay. It really looks like he regressed and is doing the exact opposite of what he did the last playoffs, a more pressure packed environment. He's played like a ***** and never drives to the net. Miller for example is two yrs younger and has adjusted much better with zero previous experience.

Ok, so did he magically get worse? He was riding adrenaline in the playoffs. He was told to just go out and play. Now, he has to learn systems, learn to defend, all of that. So let him do just that, and learn in Hartford.

You realize that exact offer last year could have gotten Rick Nash during our SC run right?

I see a bunch of secondary assets for a young high end asset that fills a huge hole in the lineup. What's the problem?

We need more scoring.

And those secondary assets will fill important roles in the near future. That's how it works in the cap world.

Patience. It's a confidence thing.

I'd be more confident with Kreider if he had a more dominant resume to his record. He only has one good scoring year in college and that was when he was way more experienced than the others.

And? A young ELC defender like Bogosian has much more value than Nash in the salary cap world of hockey. Columbus would've needed to apply the lubricant to Winnipeg if they got away with a high-end, young asset like Bogosian in return for disgruntled player who was on his way out for sure.

A junior is way more experienced? He was good as a sophomore too. WJC's? World's? Playoffs? He will be fine.

Wasn't his excuse of lack of production in BC was because he was learning the systematic play of college hockey? :help:

Bogo is not on his ELC.

That would only be true if the Rangers didn't already have a great top 4.

BC played a defense-oriented system. That's what I gathered from watching him. College hockey isn't exactly everyone running around playing pond hockey.

Yes, but it's a trade where you're making a move for a young asset who will presumably spend a long time with the Rangers.

The Rangers have hopes of those guys being top 6 power forwards. Move them and the Rangers prospect depth is laughable.

They still have Fasth, Lindberg. They'd take a hit, but most of their young players would already be on the NHL roster. Young proven players > prospects.
