Which would basically mean: Neal, Niskanen, Eriksson for DZ, Boyle, prospect/pick.

Good lord Dallas would be stupid to do that. They're still bleeding from the rear from the Neal and Niskanen trade, why would they give up the only asset from that trade, and Eriksson?

I am all for playing kids, Thomas, Miller, Kreider but holy crap that's risky.................it's almost time to use one of those picks for a depth Forward.................this team needs Nash back in a bad way

Your recent winners all have one very important thing in common (aside from timely goaltending..) - strength and depth up the middle. Right now Richards is struggling and Stepan is solid and gaining steam. After that you have Boyle? Halpern? A 19 year old Miller? If anything, I think this goes to show that the Rangers currently have a weakness here. RoR may or may not be the answer, but I think something is missing...

I agree. Depth at center is a usually a must if you want to go all the way. As long as Richards doesn't produce, or if any of Richards/Stepan is injured, the Rangers are in deep ****.

I'd do ROR for Del Zotto in a heartbeat if I was Sather. Torts/Sullivan has been doing a great job bringing in and developing d-men, and I think replacing DZ via trade (of course Stralman will eat some of his minutes) is more than doable.
 
Center depth is what we lack and if he had that, we'd be 50x better, I guarantee it... we lose faceoffs too much and we don't have the powerful guys like Brown.. or the Bruins do, etc.. But I can't deal DZ+ for ROR, it doesn't seem legit because ROR really only got up on the radar not long ago.
 
This team is terribly constructed. 3 rookies being rushed into the lineup when they're not ready and have mediocre AHL production.

All ur prospects never make it. One of these guys should be dealt to bring in some real help
 
what is Barrie from the AVS worth?

I would want ROR, Barrie, O'Byrne(UFA)

for

DZ, Boyle, Thomas, Eminger(UFA)

that's as high as I would go I just don't know if it's enough cause Barrie seems to be a solid prospect

Because hes a better version of about 1/2 the guys we currently have. At least he has a combo of speed and grit, unlike what we have now which is one or the other. Not to mention the kid actually plays with heart.
 
As long as Torts is the coach no one will help this team. It's not all Torts. Richards is garbage. Gaborik is back to 10-11 form. Callahan, where the **** is he? Doubt ROR helps us. Then again, if think of the future it may still be a good idea. Someday (hopefully soon) Torts won't be here, Richards won't be here. We have no one proven at center other than Stepan.
 
Nash is good individually, but I'd rather have Erixon, Anisimov, Dubi, Feds, Mitchell and Prust instead of Nash, Pyatt, Halpern and Asham.

Seriously? The reason we suck is not the Nash trade. The reason we suck is because our top 2 point producers last year have been ASS. Richards and Gaborik have been AWFUL. Only one name on that list was semi-decent and that's inconsistent Arty. Your infatuation with Mitchell is a bigger mystery than the Kennedy assassination.

Yes, seriously.

This is reminiscent of the Gomez era Rangers. Big names, zero results. We are screwed cap wise with Nash's overpaid contract, I'd much rather see those guys again because at least a handful of them stepped up when others were having off nights. We have n AHL 3rd line as our NHL 3rd line. We have Bickel, Eminger and Gilroy as dressed regulars on this team. This is a terrible roster, from bottom to top.
