Eh, ya know, I think Sather's major weakness is that he seems to get infatuated with targets.

Look at Nash. He was like captain Ahab for 6 months with that stuff. Or Wade Redden - probably got wind of that rumor Columbus was offering him 6/$36M, but instead of laying down his sword, he took it to the next level even though it was incredibly stupid.

Theres no thrill of the chase when it comes to his own players.

Like I've told you three times already, not many people actually believed that. You've convinced yourself they did so you would have something to be condescending about. Which is odd because there are plenty of other opportunities for that.
 
So someone hacked a relatively random person's twitter to tweet about minor New York Ranger trades?

I agree only because Stralman is a UFA and Klein is signed to a great deal. If Stralman would sign a deal similar to Klein's, maybe a bit more, I'd much rather keep Stralman.

Well, could it truly be a Sather deadline w/o at least one utterly pointless trade? We can just call it "The Brashear".
 
Are we discussing sources now? How long have some of you been on this board?

Yet another warning, discuss the rumors, not the sources.

Also, the next person to take a direct shot at another poster will be infracted. This has been going on long enough. If you don't agree with someone, block them or don't follow them on Twitter.

In fairness, if he hadn't gone balls deep on Gomez, Mack Truck would likely still be wearing the "rouge blanc et bleu".
 
The rumor mill is totally out of control;

Every hour some writer or player or agent or GM wants his message out there, and it just becomes a total cluster****, takes all the enjoyment out of it.

and they're going to dress these guys tonight? oy vey....

I thought of something I haven't seen mentioned; think it obvious we'd be giving up some physicality with Cally going. But he's also a pretty darn good offensive player when healthy.

And just wondering, while most would expect St Louis to have a sizeable edge over him in production, MSL has also been playing with Stamkos these past few years.
So, in other words, do his numbers take a hit?
If he's playing with Richards and Hagelin, neither have ever been mistaken for Steven Stamkos. And so that's where the Rangers have to be careful in adding too much to this supposed deal; there should definitely be a bump from MSL to Cally, but just how big it'll be IDK.

Only Morris and Antropov were trade deadline moves, and both played a big role in the Rangers squeaking into the playoffs.

Why wouldn't they dress tonight???

The goal is still to get wins...They already are missing Zucc and have Cam in net. Got to put the best lineup you can on ice every game.... Might as well sit Girardi, Callahan, Stralman, Boyle etc because they could be trade bait....silly
