Something Boomer has said twice is "there are a lot of moving parts involved."

I am going to assume a Girardi trade may not be unrelated to the Callahan and MSL trade(s).

I honestly don't even know anymore.

I'm not sure how I feel about Cally and girardi going with only MSL coming back as a roster player. Kills our d while we gear up on forward.

If anything, vatanen comes in and j. Moore is going to TB.

yeah v would def be a plyer we would be keeping.. no way we get him and move him.. dudes stock is up after the olympics..

now a real 3way trade would be

callahan- stl

st louis- NYR

Stewart, prospect/1st/ another nhl player even dorsett to TBL

NO nope not worth it. Man this is beginning to seem like Girardi won't sign for a good rate if callahan is leaving. That's my boys. Thats loyalty, I bet you Staal is behind it as well, I bet it will make a huge difference to him when it comes to him making a decision.

Im telling you guys now, like Ive told the people on Carp's site. Im done if all three are gone. Callahan/Girardi/Staal I love Hank, I love Mac, I love Step, I love Hags, I love Boyle. I like the rest of the guys on the team, I like some of them a lot , I dislike no one on the team.

But I'm not following this team anymore if all three are gone. No ****ing way, its the sword I fall on.

The name on the FRONT of the jersey is alot damn more important than the name on the back of it..

it would suck, but I'm a Ranger fan through and through, not just because of the players we have.

That would be incredibly painful to me as:

1) I don't think we should be trading ANY assets for STL (unless, you know, you can get him for like Ryan Bourque and a 4th) - especially not our big chips.

2) I want Vatanen on this team.

So, you're telling me, we're going to essentially ship out both Girardi and Callahan for STL. And Vatanen would make a brief midnight stop here, before transitioning to TB along the way?

If that happens, I'm going to need paramedics.
 
Who's the guy who suggested Skjei and Cally for MSL.

Seems like Vat comes in, Skjei is a goner.

Agreed and I support the Rangers making moves to better this team moving forward.

That's not happening. It would be a terrible waste of assets.
 
There's nothing to prevent Yzerman from holding onto St. Louis until after the deadline and forcing the Rangers to part with pieces that aren't Ryan Callahan after he is either dealt to another team, or walks in free agency. You downgrade your roster for a player who is going to walk out the door in July? It makes absolutely no sense.

Demanding a trade doesn't mean he will be traded.
 
as bad as sather is at free agent signings, you have to admit glen has more balls than other gm combined when it comes to trades

That would be vomit-inducing all around.
 
The Girardi for Vatanen deal would undoubtedly include more pieces coming back from Anaheim. I wouldnt be surprised to see if a piece or two from that trade gets packaged with Callahan to TB.
I'd be a bit nervous if Callahan, Girardi, Boyle, J. Moore and say Dorsett all get moved by the deadline. I know some of those names are just ones we HFBoarders have speculated, but still being in the playoff race we shouldn't mess with the chemistry too much.
