Wait so it was supposed to be Girardi for MSL but the Avs upped their offer? I'm not sure how I feel trading our top pairing D anyway for MSL. Love him, but we'd have a HUGE hole in our top 4.

I guess the conditional for the rangers would kick in if callahan re-signed with tampa long-term. That makes some sense

If I'm Tampa I want a conditional in the event Callahan leaves.
 
My theory based on Brooks' article. There has been MSL - Callahan talk since the team Canada selection. Yzerman has no interest in dealing MSL for a rental. The Rangers let Callahan's agent speak to teams at the end of January/beginning of February. Is it possible that the Lightning hammered out an extension with Cally's agent and now the Lightning are warming up to a deal like that?

Said he believes he would in FA. I'm just trying to piece together something here. Brooks' article about there being talks about St. Louis to the Rangers is the first time I'm hearing anything like that and apparently it's been going on since the beginning of January. Why would all of this come out now out of nowhere?
 
Don't stay up until midnight if you don't have to! Nothing going down then especially if he's pimping his radio show tomorrow to talk about it.
