Perfect. Absolutely perfect.

What was his relationship with Dubinsky and I guess Anisimov? Maybe Columbus is crazy enough to give him the 7 years 42 million and assuming he would sign when they offer him that. I bring up the relationship because maybe they're banking on that(if they were great friends) for Callahan to take their offer from them and not test the market to see if another team offers him the same offer.

*Just saw other tweets and Atkinson and Gabby does not fit the "someone that you don't like if he's not on your team..."

They formed the Pack line. All three grew through the system together.

Yeah, if we took everything he was saying at face value, we would be looking at a first line upgrade, grit, skill, someone we hate, shocking, surprising.

There are a few players who pop into my head here but for a rental? Absolutely no way.

Unless the pick is coming from us.

Patches?

Wasn't there some rift with him an Therrian. (yeah I know the whole team has issues with MT.)

Only teams that make sense to me are Columbus, Montreal, and maybe Ottawa. Carolina makes sense but who would they send back?

MSL makes zero sense for the Lightning.

That would be swell. Or even Gallagher as Nils pointed out earlier.

I doubt it's Montreal though. A couple of Pens fans made some interesting points about Callahan being coveted in Pittsburgh to play with Crosby. Someone who can get into the dirty areas. Consider who coached the US team. Could be interesting.

I don't really care if MSL is too old, this guy is the reigning Art Ross trophy winner. It would be stupid to turn him down for a rental 3rd line grinder.

But who would the Pens send back? Kunitz? Idk

One for one + from the East + for Callahan?
The most likely IMHO:

Boston: Marchand
Sens: Spezza (or does Sather finally get Chris Neil?)
