At the end of the day you have Nash, MSL, Stepan, CK, Miller, Zuccarello, Richards, and Brassard. I think a Center and PMD and I feel very comfortable going to battle with that squad.

Basically talent wise you swapped MSL for Callahan ... yes we gave up picks but unless we are at the bottom of the barrel for 2 years are we really reaping the top benefit of those drafts?

This is a fair deal and stop all the whining about giving up a first round pick next year! Please tell me that you know that a late first round pick next year is anything but a crap shoot. Unless you have a top ten pick, and even then, there are no guarantees. We just got one of the best players in the NHL who is showing NO signs of slowing down and will be good for at least 3 more years. Also, we dont get stuck with a ridiculous contract with Cally. Stamkos can join us in a few years

Organization wise they are weaker, but i want to see how the rest of the day pans out to see if they can recover a pick or two. Its still early

Because you need to have players like Miller to replace guys you trade that you can't agree to terms with. It's a balancing act, can't go anywhere just stockpiling picks and prospects.
