Much rather move picks than prospects, would also like to move someone like Boyle for more picks to recoup that loss if it does happen.

Now we're using our noggins. We have some extra assets that we can use to recoup some picks. It's possibly the first move the Rangers make but likely not the last one.

I can't wait to see Esposito's reaction. the drunken invalid.

McKenzie said a first in a significant pick package. Hopefully only a 1st next year and who knows, maybe we bring Cally back as a UFA

Tradecentre - Ferraro, Aaron Ward, and I believe Marty Biron was on before. A lot of former Rangers. McGuire - says deal makes Rangers a dangerous team. He thinks this will be huge for Brad Richards.

Yeah but who cares? Richards is most likely gone over the summer.

Except if you look at most of the successful teams in the league year in and year out, they ARE mostly homegrown. Just because Ranger management is bad at it doesn't mean it's not a good argument.

I agree with this, but they are also built because they went through years and years of being lottery pick teams like pittsburgh, chicago, and st louis. Or trading you assets like Phil Kessel, Jeff Carter.

You are either a top team an re-tool or a bottom team and rebuild through the draft

God no. Don't bring Cally back unelss his price lowers by 20%.

If they get msl and keep Richards i am not going to watch a single Rangers game till Sather retires or dies.

Not really, but ill consider it

For what it's worth, I've heard through the grapevine that NYR may have been on Kesler's list, but when talks cooled with MSL he took them off. So what happens now?

Keep in mind that this is 3rd hand information from a guy who is not affiliated with the Rangers, Lightning, or Canucks.

No official confirmations (yet) but hearing NYR are prepared to trade Callahan, plus 1st rd pick and 2nd rd pick for Marty St. Louis. Close.

Cally a 1st and a 2nd for MSL? Maybe they throw in a pick coming back? I think I like it just because I'm petrified of Cally on a long term/high price contract

Don't know what we'd have to trade for Kesler if that would be true, though.

That's what I expected. Boyle for a first, pleeeease!!

Are they competing to make a worse deadline deal than last year? Is it like a brewster millions bet or something?

How can we really screw this team up in 4 years?

I got it we'll forgo drafting in the first round for several years in a row, we'll keep Richards and we'll add in the likely 6th or 7th oldest player in the league for two playoffs before he retires.
