After watching the last two games people are STILL in favor of getting Marty St. Louis? You think THIS team is winning in the next two years? Especially if they give up the additional pieces required to get him?

****, even if they went on a miracle run they'd still be ****ed for years to come thereafter. I had my one-and-done cup. I want a perpetual contender. DO NOT WANT ST. LOUIS.

Take it for what it's worth but a friend at the game said that people are starting to congratulate Sather after he got off a phone call.

This friend has a family member with close ties to a F.O. Member so that's why he's near Sather right now. Once again take it how u want it

IF and I say IF it is a legit report that I'm getting then I would say it has to do with Cally in some way. I say IF

Barring any setbacks. I heard Zuccarello is ahead of schedule and could play Friday night vs Carolina

My top source when asked about NYR trade "tracking down. sounds like st louis could be joining richards on Broadway"

I can't even find this account on twitter.

With St. Louis and Zuccarello coming back, yeah, I do believe we can go back to our winning ways

Yeah, people don't make knee jerk reactions based on a weekend. We've been watching this team steamroll through the past few months. Why would my mind change after losing two tough games?

I agree with you. Beyond the additional cost, and the opportunity cost, I don't think MSL would make a big enough difference for this team because their issues run deeper.

They missed two wide open nets against Philly and they lost the goaltending matchup by about as much as they could have today (while Henrik Lundqvist is actually a Good Goalie), so yeah, I don't think this team's terrible because they *lost twice*

All of those generic "rumors" pages on Twitter sure look like clickbait. I don't have any faith in St. Louis happening anymore. TBL never had any reason to just dump him off for prospect goop. I don't think Glen's going to trade JT when we can just try to nag the price down in the summer.

Trade him for Havlat+assets or just a 2nd round pick or something, I don't even care that much. I don't think it's his fault, but keeping him around without signing him is going to be a real emotional drain. I don't think it will be a net benefit for the team in 2014.

Yes, coming out in the waning seconds of a game where the Rangers get absolutely SPANKED does seem more than a little suspicious - especially since it's coming from guys no one's ever heard of.

You don't think anyone else at the Garden would've seen Slats getting handshakes?

Furthermore, any deal that he closed in the heat of the moment after watching this ****show would likely be very, very bad.

Whenever I see people adding JT Miller to trade rumors I have to take a deep breath and walk away. Especially when they add him to Callahan. JT Miller will have us all forgetting who Callahan was in a couple seasons IMO. His all around game will be very similar with more offensive flair and more edge.

the rangers need to get bigger and have some snarl to compete with the top teams.
get some players with qualities and be able to play in A.V.'s system

People need to look at it this way. Signing Cally for $6 million+ a year is literally the worst thing that can happen to this team. That will be a crippling contract.

I don't think they are terrible. I think they have some very good pieces (including Lundqvist who I defended in the PGT) and are probably in the top half of the league.

But they have real holes - and more importantly, are missing dynamic players at two of the most important positions in the game. It's a work in progress that should be acquiring assets that can help next year and beyond. NOT selling assets in order to prop up an ill-fated one-and-done run.

I think the people advocating for MSL believe he can play for another 3+ years at least like Jagr is doing.

Agreed. I'm not saying he's untouchable, but he shouldn't be dealt unless it's for a real, long-term upgrade at a key position.

Rick Nash is a RW.. Mats Zucarello is a RW..

option A. Ryan Callahan for 7M a season to be the 3rd line RW

Option B. JT Miller for $894,167 for 3rd line RW

1) Jagr absolutely ran out of steam last year in the POs. He couldn't complete a shift in the 3rd period of games.

2) MSL does not play at one of the key positions we need to address.

3) The position he does play is the LAST place we need help (other than goalie).

I would have to think long and hard about dealing JT Miller ... it would have to be for a YOUNG - COST CONTROLLED - OFFENSIVE TALENT.
