Who has sutter been playing with though? With the pens lack of wingers plus their injuries, I'd be surprised if his linemates weren't straight up AHL garbage the entire year.

Serious question: outside of the Nash deal, which was a unique case played out over a year due to the fact that the player was pushing it, when was the last time a Rangers trade was rumored more than 90 seconds before it was official? Seems to me Slats always takes us by surprise.

Boomer mentioned Kevin Klein about a week and a half before it went down. I feel like we discussed the Clowe deal for a while before it went down as well. Tim Erixon, though that was a unique situation. Otherwise? You're right, they're usually pretty out of left field.

Trade Cally + Hagelin for MSL and a 4th.

Trade Stralman for a 2nd.

Trade that 2nd for Jagr.

Trade Dorsett for a 5th or 6th.

Call up Allen.

Boyle-Moore-Zarcillo

McD-G
Staal-Allen
Moore-Klein

I have a feeling Boyle Dorsett and Moore will be dealt for another defensemen and another 4th line winger to compliment Miller and Carcillo!

Yakupov is interesting ... but honestly I am high on Miller, I think he has a lot of upside. I wold probably be willing to move ANY other prospect aside from Miller.

This, recognizing Kreider is no longer a prospect.

Maybe Staal + Brassard + small add?

then NY gets to slide Skjei into LD late next year, long term a smart move.

3deals this deadline already where the hf crew waaaay over blew the value of players. Penner was supposed to return a prospect and a high pick. Pirri was going to return a first at the very least, and now Bryz. I'm really interested to see what the return on Callahan is going to net

“@TSNBobMcKenzie: I am hearing NYR and Ryan Callahan are inching towards a contract agreement but they're not there...yet. #TSN #Tradecentre”

I'm not totally enamored with Stepan but it's silly to trade him for another C. Acquire a C through other means and move Stepan into the #2 slot. It's like the Rangers set the lineup with two serviceable top-six C's, and then pat themselves on the back.

I'm a little bit worried about Kesler on this team. I think he benefitted heavily from getting easier matchups since everyone in the West was keying in on the Sedin line. Plus, the injuries. He's not really a 1C type IMO and I think the Rangers are going to make a mistake if they cast him as such. I definitely wouldn't trade Stepan for him.

Please no.

I might be jumping off my roof if they sign him for $6MM.

Can you imagine this nightmare scenario:

Callahan resigned for 6+ x6
Stepan + Miller traded for Kesler.

[shotgun enter mouth]

Not surprised at all. McGuire said on the radio that Callahan's agent is a negotiator, not a lunatic. They'll take it to the wire and eventually get the deal done.

So we're getting the best RW of all time and playing him on the left? Also, do not want to trade Hagelin for MSL, no matter how much I love MSL.

Penner for a 4th rounder was a great deal for Washington and Bryzgolov going to Minn and Fasth going to Anaheim wonder if Brodeur goes out west to play for the Ducks
