HF Habs: Trade Proposal Thread: From Here to Free Agency

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.

Who interesting has been traded? Raddysh? Byram? Only interesting player traded had been BT and we were not on his list. If KH signed Tuch to that contract people would ask for his head.
Kyrou is still a much better play
you can say shit about Byram hes still better than Carrier (not like i wanted Byram)
Tuch at 10m in 2026 salary era is meh , but u gotta pay to get them.

Dont forget we paid more for Dobson than Hutson , that's because he wasnt part of our ORG.

Krou scored 18 goal and did 46 points. Maybe just an off season but i'd rather not f*** around and find out.

dont do that...

can't say if this is excitement for getting the guy or a cry for help! :P
Yes do that. He would absolutely fit in beautifully with Demidov. He has high hockey IQ, plays physical, and is currently on sale.

Honestly, the biggest criticism on McTavish has been his speed, and thus his inability to mesh with Ducks current high tempo play style, so I am not really sure if he would be the player to chase from Montreal’s perspective.
The issue has been more consistency and effort than foot speed. And he's in Quennevilles doghouse.

ITs not so much about who was traded, its about being in on the action.
Other GMs are being proactive, clearly the draft is not going to be the big day to trade.
Its like TDL and waiting till 2:59 to submit your deal so you don't wind up with a player because its 3:01.
Hopefully he isn't left holding the bag on the player he is chasing because other moves happened that now made that trade not possible.
And pretty much everyone traded would have been an improvement on Carrier/Dach/Bolduc in the line up and if not there were some draft picks going around that would have been nice to get too.

The hawks board was screaming for a trade too.

What does that have to do about anything mentioning Byram??
Kyrou isn't exaclty what we need to be spending our assets on.
Tuch was a ghost in the playoffs against us, seems quite overpriced.

They're being proactive with the available people. They can't force teams to trade players they don't want.

Fans of every team, regardless of the GM, complain about this and its never valid unless you know for a fact he's doing nothing. You want outcomes (trades), not intent (being in on the action).

Would you prefer Montreal was giving up the high end picks in the upcoming draft that they don't have, or the high end players in the trades?
