Absolutely not.OK and he's not good enough two years later. We don't need to claim him.
But we also don't need to have ABB on this roster.

Maybe we don't have the same definition of operating in LTIR, but i'm pretty sure they will. After the opening roster so we don't have to operate in LTIR.
....yeah, fair enough. No, we don't.. and he should be an extra but somehow is playing ahead of Kapanen.
....yeah, fair enough.
Anyways, I think Pelletier is more of a player to trade for than a player to claim. Ideally for a player the same size.
Habs current 23 man roster is not cap compliant, they can paper transact Xhekaj to be under the cap for 5pm, but once they call him back they need to use LTIR.After the opening roster so we don't have to operate in LTIR.

In-season will just allow them to maximize their LTIR space compared to off-season, but they don't need that much LTIR space and Hughes wanted to use none of it, but since he didn't make the moves to make that possible....here we are.Yes but being compliant and not in LTIR by the roster deadline does something for them as far as cap space in season, rather than using off-season LTIR.

That had to be done yesterday. Only waiver-exempt players can be demoted today.I'd paper demote Anderson just to make a point.
Go ahead someone claim him.
It's the same thing as last year when they put Dvorak on LTIR before the start of the season to be cap compliant.Yes but being compliant and not in LTIR by the roster deadline does something for them as far as cap space in season, rather than using off-season LTIR.

They'll operate on LTIR as soon as they put Price on it regardless.
I had the same discussion last year...lolOff-Season LTIR and in-season LTIR are different, though. That's what has been stated time and time again regarding the Habs not wanting to do things that require putting Price on off-season LTIR.
Ahh makes sense thank you. After the opening roster so we don't have to operate in LTIR.
I would have pick Imama before Pelletier god damn.
We have enough smurf, we have enough injury prone players.
Why are you writing as though Montreal has or hasn't claimed a player before the 2pm deadline?
They don't want a face puncher
I don't think they will demote Hutson because of his performance bonuses.
With Heineman and Kapanen seemingly making the team, i think they're about 3M over.
My quick guess would be paper-demote Xhekaj and Heineman and put RHP on LTIR.
Far from optimal, but i don't think they have many options.
LOLIf Jakob Pelletier can't make the Flames.. let's be real here.
Yup something to Columbus for Olivier just won't die.Actually, theres rumor there trying to find another physical player to support X. Hope this is true.
Physical player, is not a face puncher.Actually, theres rumor there trying to find another physical player to support X. Hope this is true.
