I think people only wants him because he can fight and thats about it. hes a 13th forward at best , if we want a goon just look in the AHL
He's an energy guy. MSL would let him play to his strengths too.

Deslauriers - Evans - Gallagher as our 4th line could be fun. Then next year we insulate two more guys like F.Xhekaj and Tuch. Delo takes them under his wing OR he's traded.

meh You can find Deslauriers everywhere in the league. Its not like they are not rare. Id rather get a physical player with actual hockey skills than just someone that runs around

You’re way too kind, thank-you! 💚

Man, I’m so lucky and appreciative of you and this posting community. 😊

This is the best roster and prospects we’ve seen over a very long time. Hopefully, Hughes will fill a few more needs starting with a waiver claim that is bound to net him a decent asset given his 5th OA selection rank and hopefully pull the trigger on a trade, as there are too many similar type of players in the bottom 6 snd our rivalries with Ottawa and the Leafs are becoming intensely physical and have turned into an open season on our best players.
LOL, cry me a river.

The most predatory hit of the two games was Xhekaj on Stutzle and the Max Domi instigator award goes to Xhekaj again for the Cedric Paré assault.

As good homers that most of us are, I get that we don't want to recognize the Laine contact as a hockey play but at the same time want to absolve Pezzetta of any wrongdoing on the Tavares hit.

I'm EMBARASSED to read that Marty Saint Louis wants Ottawa to give him their lineup first tonight for an away game of ours. We played Tuch and Condotta and Xhekaj last game, and it was still an intense game. What now, a PTO for John Scott, so he can be on the power play when someone interferes with Dach or Suzuki?

A guy sticking out his knee, is not a hockey play.......
The Sherriff did what he did after THEY targeted Dach's head.
As a habs homer, your take is a little off, just a little.
I was EMBARASSED to read such a take.

ewwwww why would that be fun. Deslaurier is a really bad player (at least he’s a real goon…) with mr vanilla tofu and a guy who gets winded tying his own skates.

Crimea River reporting for duty. 💀

Dach was hit twice in the face by Greig. He never confirmed whether the 2nd hit to Dach’s face, was also the result of a “bad read”. So much bad luck for him, in one game. :sarcasm:

Too bad he doesn't know how to fight. Maybe he needs a few boxing lessons, shorten his swings a little.

Newhook for Pospisil, 1 for 1 ? Flames refuse ?

Paré did not stick out his knee. Laine's leg was way out there and he did not pull it back fast enough when he tried the deke. Laine says so himself, but go ahead and insist otherwise if you like.

Then you can find a better target? Because Newhook is doing nothing for us with Demidov in the lineup.

That's a pretty baseless opinion. Will be interesting to see how well that take holds up in 18 months.

I don't think Posposil is a realistic target (in the same way X would be a poor target for other teams... Flames would require an overpayment, and, like the Bolts quickly found out with Jeannot, anyone willing to pay that price will likely end up brutally disappointed... But even then, Newhook would be excessive as an offer).

Josh Manson in Colorado might be a target, especially if the Avs don't figure out a bottom 6 C addition early in the year... Dvorak or Evans, if Kapanen sticks, could be the basis of a deal that fits both sides +/- minor pieces.

The top 6 will have: Slaf, Suzuki, Caufield, Laine, Demidov, Dach.

We need more grit, less ballerinas and Kapanen is a better center, so either Roy or Newhook needs to be swapped for more incisive options.

I know the expectations for Demidov are high round here, but I seriously doubt he will be playing on all three top lines. :sarcasm: Even after he arrives, there will still be plenty of room on the team for a guy who can play both wing and center on the 2nd or 3rd line.

If all 3 top lines are filled with softies again, we're going to have another painful season to watch.

The time to move the xtras might be now. So Newhook is a good piece to dangle imho. Better than Roy anyhow.

These 2 are just tweeners in the grand scheme of things, they're not core at all.

Who cares what Laine said? He said that to try to reduce the death threats to Pare and his family. It was definitely a cheap shot.
