He brings a different dimension to ABB
Like i said, i don't know him enough to have a strong opinion, but i like his profile better than ABB for the bottom 6.
And he's younger. He could still have upside.
They could give him an shot at least until RHP returns. At worst, they lose him again in waivers.

I think ABB was mostly signed to play in Laval.

Maybe. Guys like Jeannot sometimes get a team to overpay and move on.
Bennett’s a core piece. Not going anywhere.

At some point they should add a player who plays with an edge. When you look at some players who could eventually be the bottom 6 wingers, it’s:
Newhook, Heineman, Roy, Mesar…. Not enough grit, even if you plug Tuch or Xhekaj on the 4th like.
How about Pospisil?

Maybe that's the problem then and what this entire discussion is about.
Who is the guy in our top pairings Savard is a Big Panda Bear and Guhle isn't that guy.
Is Reilly that guy NO he normally isn't but he got incensed and acted on it.
Well constructed teams have players who can be that guy when playing with the top forwards.

Guhle/Matheson Panda/Hutson
Is it any wonder Slaf and Dach are fighting?
Guhle would probably concuss himself trying — for his sake, no.

About bloody time. If true, I can’t believe it took them that long to see it!

Offer them one of our lower 2nds
And/or one of our many undersized « prospects » in Laval. 💀

I am ready to overpay for Mathieu Olivier and Nic Deslauriers.

Teams need to know not to f*** with us.

We should never have let go Deslauriers in the first place. The guy was a fan favorite and the perfect tough guy to have on the 4th. He also produced more or less the same numbers of pts as Pezzetta is producing now

Can't believe we sold low on NHL leading scorer kovacevic.

I would have kept him. The whole "we have too much depth in one place so we have to give someone away" thinking is trash. Hell I would have transition him as a fourth line forward. He has size, grit and can play hockey.

Fourth line, yeah no.

I don't care about any player mentioned in a trade tbh but it does my heart and soul good to see you here actively posting. This place is better because of your presence.
You’re way too kind, thank-you! 💚

Man, I’m so lucky and appreciative of you and this posting community. 😊

This is the best roster and prospects we’ve seen over a very long time. Hopefully, Hughes will fill a few more needs starting with a waiver claim that is bound to net him a decent asset given his 5th OA selection rank and hopefully pull the trigger on a trade, as there are too many similar type of players in the bottom 6 snd our rivalries with Ottawa and the Leafs are becoming intensely physical and have turned into an open season on our best players.

Truth or Consequences, NM
Former first round pick, big time scorer in junior
Thank you, I know who he is, was wondering if he’s someone the Habs take a chance on as a reclamation project.

He played extremely well last year in the AHL, earning himself a call up to the big club. Maybe worth a look?

I mean, the talent and size are there, just gotta see if his heads stays on straight.

Reinbacher's injury means we don't even have the logjam at RD this year so I do think it was a bit premature to dump him but that's how it goes.

Harris for Laine probably wasnt on the table at that point.

I think I'd have rather traded savard but that's me.

Yes, good one. Versatile - wing/center - potential to play some 3rd line minutes, but likely Evans replacement … injuries tho?

Gritty, Slovak. :)

He's had significant injury issues and Calgary thinks very highly of him.... Cost to acquire him would likely be prohibitive.

Deslauriers had a great start here. That 2nd year was an absolute disaster though.... he didn't look like he belonged in the nhl at that point.
