I would say it starts with a 1st round pickWhat do you think the ask for matheson would be?

Definitely need to play Demidov with Suzuki and Laine to start training camp, IMO. You have two legitimate scorers in Suzuki and Laine. In the games I've watched Demidov play he already shows more awareness at both ends of the rink than Slaf.
Lane Hutson top started as a top four player in a tougher role Demidov can easily play a top six wing.
Does anyone believe the NCAA is a tougher league than the KHL because I don't.
Main camp day one I'm playing him with my top center and then I'd take it from there.
Celebrini is currently playing north of 19:00 for San Jose.
Demidov is certainly at or close to a Celebrini level player.
So a foster family?
Got you brotherThis comment needs a pic, a GIF or a short video. Anything on Youtube ?
If they did that you just know Yager is busting meanwhile Evans will sign for 3 mill a year for 7 years and be a 45 point player while Matheson is dealt for magic beans that become a 60 point player and a very nice number 4 dman.I said it before and I’ll say it again anyways because they just won again, but I frickin love how the Jets are built.
Their GM is the best in the league bar none.
weren’t there people here saying Villiardi wouldn’t amount to anything special?
Lol he has 17 goals already
They really don’t seem to have any weaknesses but I wonder if Evans and Matheson would interest them for Yager
With NYR crashing and burning, in dyer need of defense, what about RB plus Newhook for Laff?
Habs need to add to their top 6 depth.
Draft Mrtka to replenish the RHD prospect list.
Demi - Suzuki - Slaf
Laff - Dach - CC
Laine - Evans/Hage - Armia
Heinemen - Beck/Kapanen - Gally
Guhle - Carrier

I tried but everyone went crazy saying he was a scrub. LolThe time to acquire Lafreniere was when nearly everyone agreed that he was a garbage player with no NHL level tools, and when he was struggling on their third line.
Slaf moved in with a billet family when he first arrived and management will have something planned for Demidov too. Doesn't necessarily need to be an active Russian player.
Would keep Armia on a three year deal at 2M per year. Her's not a cancer in the rooms a strong puck protection beast for a forechecking fourth line that can keep the puck in the O-zone and wear out opponents. No idea. Has lost Covid issues but outside of that, it’s a medical stuff question and PTO situation IMO.
I’d have no problem keeping Armia on a cheap home town discount contract. He’s been great for what he does and helps drive the 4th line, big body penalty killer and take away machine who chip in offence. Sub $2M for 2-3 years and I wouldn’t object. Very useful player.

Agree and Matheson at a lower usage rate is already making less mistakesWhile Schneider is a solid defenceman, the drop-off in mobility between him and Matheson would be stark. Without Matheson, our team would be much more vulnerable to a strong forecheck and less dynamic in transition and in game situations where speed and fluidity is paramount (4 on 4, overtime and the powerplay). Unless you are able to replace Matheson's mobility, any transaction where Matheson is traded away would constitute a material step backwards.
The reality is that it would be near impossible to replace Matheson's skill levels with any player who has a sub $5 million contract. What people forget is that in the construction of any NHL team, cap implications are as important a factor as projected on ice contributions. For that reason alone, it is highly unlikely that Hughes will be moving this extremely cost effective player.

You don't trade defenseman as good as RB for wingers. Especially when you have have just spent a 1st and 5th overall on wingers lmao. With NYR crashing and burning, in dyer need of defense, what about RB plus Newhook for Laff?

I don't think we have the assets to get it done without actually making us weaker at the same time. What should we offer for Elias Pettersson?
I don’t think we’re gonna be able to draft a number 1 center, so why not trade for one who is not too old
Which is why i wished we'd select the youngest possible "fallers" after round 2. An 11 month age gap btw players at D⁰ is steep, out of the 6 unicorns targeted thereafter; start with the youngest. You can have the same argument for those who want to trade Jake Evans for a ''1st''. If even they can get that.
To be fair, you also have to look at players taken after the 31st pick.
But yeah, picks taken outside of the top 20 have a low probability of success.
There's a swath of picks and assets that can be used to acquire a RHD (back).. i agree RB should carry more weight, but a knee injury takes extra time, and who really knows after that? Laff is a legit and proven 1LW (unlike Drouin), that's what we are acquiring..You don't trade defenseman as good as RB for wingers. Especially when you have have just spent a 1st and 5th overall on wingers lmao.
That defense looks terrible. Mailloux is still a wildcard to even make it to the NHL, Struble is a 7th defenseman and Carrier ideally is a 3rd pairing guy on a championship team.
Id say hed probably be similar to a Tavares. If he’s up for it, sure. If he can only be a 3rd line center with experience and chip in points while shutting down opposition, I’d take that too!
With that projected defence I would suggest that we would remain a lottery team for the foreseeable future. With NYR crashing and burning, in dyer need of defense, what about RB plus Newhook for Laff?

Can you name for us these Russians who came through and fell for Montreal snow? I can think of only two: the Kostitsyn bros and they're not even Russian. I can counter that with Petrov and Markov who didn't. So it looks like to me the Russians are not more susceptible than any other group.pretty sure the poster was trying to relate this Russian to former Russians who have come through and fallen for this Montreal snow. There is nothing racist in identifying a trend and taking the steps towards negating it. There was no racist part. You are choosing to create controversy and not showing charity to the argument he was trying to make. Something standard around the league may I add
No, he wasn't. He was talking about Russians far from home.Don't be ridiculous, He was talking about players far from home.
Man I hope the mom wasn't too good looking because if not
Depends entirely on how the Canucks see him. A cap burden, a distracted-by-the-pressure (ie unreliable in the playoffs), a fallen star, bound to rebound?I don't think we have the assets to get it done without actually making us weaker at the same time.
