Is it a rumor started by random people online or Dreger? Or was it reported by someone legitimate like Friedman or Lebrun?

Oh yeah, big time. We'd have to pay a premium, but he'd be worth it. There's probably no way they trade him inside the division though, sadly.
But I would pay that premium for sure. Our top 9 would be set for years.

I would offer our 2 x 1st this year + Dach

Caufield-Suzuki-Demidov
Slafkovski-Thompson-Laine
Heineman-Beck-Hage
Tuch-Kapanen-Xhekaj

Davidson/Mesar/Newhook

I'd be willing to make pretty much every prospect not named Demidov available, even Fowler and Hage. He's 27 and on a reasonable contract, these are the trades that can get a team to the next stage.

If Cozens gets traded it will probably be for someone more established, like Larkin (which he is rumored to be available?)

Larkin isn't truly available. That rumor was started by some random person online who said he spoke to Chris Johnston and he learned that Larkin asked for a trade. Johnston came out to say this isn't true and that he never spoke with anyone regarding Larkin, because it's not true.

Not disagreeing that Nazar is a better player than Beck. It would make sense when one was taken 13th OA and the other 33rd OA. But not sure that he's "quite ahead of Beck." Although they do play a different type of game.

Nazar is the top scoring rookie in the AHL right now with 24 pts (11G, 13A) in 20 GP. However, Beck is 4th top scoring rookie with 20 pts (7G, 13A) in 23 GP.
Totally agree,
When I watch Beck the points are only a small part of the package.
I start with the skating and implication or competitive edge at both ends of the rink (energy).

Coach says he can play with anyone and I think he is still developing his O game.
Laval are well aware of his defensive acumen but obviously want to explore and grow his Offense.
I love Beck's movement on the PP and he's probably the last guy I'd remove from it when it struggles.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see Beck used on the PK in the post season.
The one game I did see him play with Gignac he scored a shortie and they were a constant threat.

Not to discredit Frank but I'd wager money on Beck's game transitioning well to the higher league.
In Frank's case I'm not sure I'd be willing to wager money on a player who may be the next Trey Fix Wolansky.

I think Buffalo would want more than that.. the Calgary 1st at minimum would have to be included but I think they'd probably be looking more at a hockey deal, I wonder if Struble might be an interesting add to their defense that represents an addition to their current roster.

But what I was saying is that we shouldn't acquire Cozens to be a solution at C, he's not really a great center, he is more of a power winger.. so if the asset cost is high, I would wait for another opportunity because with Slaf, Caufield, Laine and Demidov at wing, there's not a massive panic to add another winger to that mix.
You're probably right. But it's interesting to engage in a discussion of these hypothetical transactions. It really does illuminate the true market value of the assets that you believe are so valuable, if not indispensable, to your team. The reality is that there would be few teams lining up for Roy.

As for Struble, it would take a deal for a player far more consequential than Cozens, to include a player with Struble's potential.

Beck has NHL'er written all over him. He will be one of those players coaches trust in all situations. A coach's dream. He's great on the dot, as well. And he has an NHL shot, too.

Something like

Matheson, Newhook and a 1st

For Adam Fox

A pairing with Guhle would be niiiice

Just saw that his name is « circulating » like they say lol just a thought

Yes,for Dach the return would probably be a veteran center a stop gap while your young prospects develop.....someone like Kadri to play with Laine next year and Dach is from Alberta.....but Dach has to start playing better if u want value back.

Kadri is 34 and has 4 more years on his contract after this one. That's more than a stop gap.
I don't think he has that much value at full price or that the Habs would be interested in him.

He has 3 years left after this year and the young centers Montreal has who could be #2 centers....Hage and whoever they draft this year will be ready in maybe 3 years.
