After the successes of Monahan and Laine, I'd love RD Trouba to come to Montreal with a pick attached - then get a second pick at next year's TDL. Just like Monahan.

Trouba could fill the Kovacevic role short term.

3rd line? I think an argument could be made that he’d be a solid replacement for Newhook on the top line.

Struggling this year but the previous 3 seasons he had 20+ goals. The type of big body Nick and Cole could use

Oh f...yeah. It's no brainer. Matheson can skate and move the puck but too often it's to opponent's stick. Improves Guhle moving back to his nature side.

Trouba you can retain on him now or in the future. Trouba at half caphit has good value. It's a free first. Habs have tons of caproom. They never used 7.5 million this season.
