HF Habs: Trade Proposal Thread #86: 2023-2024 Season

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

I don't know what is their mindset, do they want to do a complete rebuild? And while Money help offensively, he's not a game changer. So maybe they could keep him and continue a rebuild?

Armia isn't getting traded. Allen likely isn't either. Savard would be a really nice return but doubt he's dealt, unless a team becomes desperate.

Then the Risto/Gally swap (same term, Gally a bit pricier but more likely to end up LTIR before it ends and with Philly's d depth, a better bad contract to get use our of in bottom 6 than Risto clogging up D... Flyers get the pick for the extra cap hit)

I like it for us BC we get a decent middle 6 C to finish out year in 2C spot (assuming moneyhands moves)... Laughton moves to middle 6 W if summer moves fill top 9C seats. Adding two 2 vet depth players with grit & size will help insulate our young roster vs teams gearing up for POs down the stretch. Next year Risto replaces Kovy as 6-7 RD, Hathaway replaces either Pez or Ylonen. Risto's buy out in '25 or '26 is a lot easier to navigate than Gally's, if we can't offload him via trade.
Flyers get a Tort favorite in Anderson, a G option to mitigate Hart, and a decent depth vet to help with the PO push... Swap Risto for Gally while getting a pick back... Seems like it could make sense for them assuming they want to get rid of Risto

A late first in this draft is not worth that much. Something would need to be added. I don't rate Lambert that highly so say Monahan and Harris for Lambert and a 1st. It depends how much Winnipeg wants to keep up with Vancouver and prevent other teams from improving.
