Assuming Buffalo doesn’t get 1OA in the lottery and the pick is 2-4 range.
To Vancouver
Buffalo 1st rounder 2025
Owen Power or Bowen Byrum
Jack Quinn
To Buffalo
Quinn Hughes
If Vancouver is getting skittish about Hughes not re-signing this is the time to cash in.
The real question is, would Edmonton? Not talking about Drai or McDavid. But 4 first round picks and roster playerI feel like many teams would out bid that .
@Xirik waste assets and push for him now or wait until free agency ?If traded he is going to the devils
AgreedI feel like acquiring Quinn Hughes will hurt the Sabres more than help with the pieces that would have to go the other way.
Karlsson was older, significantly more expensive, and although he had just had a great year, his value had been reduced because he had struggled a bit after leave Ottawa.“Pittsburgh sent a 2024 first-round pick, forward Mikael Granlund and defenseman Jan Rutta to San Jose and goaltender Casey DeSmith, defenseman Jeff Petry, a 2025 second-round pick and prospect Nathan Legare to Montreal as part of the deal for the three-time Norris Trophy winner Erik Karlsson”
This was ~ a year and a half ago.
Wow did I ever. My bad.You misread my point, Buffalo has dahlin, Colorado has Makar, they are both elite 1D, they don't NEED a Quinn Hughes. Everyone else will want to trade for Hughes.
I cannot believe you posted this because of course the Canucks would gladly accept.....I mean Buffalo is not even giving up one of their top players and we all know Hughes is average...even if Buffalo had the 1st overall in that package, that is an easy NO from Vancouver...a starting point would be Dahlin, Buff 1st ++Assuming Buffalo doesn’t get 1OA in the lottery and the pick is 2-4 range.

Cool. I think his value goes down after next season when he becomes a 1 year rental.I cannot believe you posted this because of course the Canucks would gladly accept.....I mean Buffalo is not even giving up one of their top players and we all know Hughes is average...even if Buffalo had the 1st overall in that package, that is an easy NO from Vancouver...a starting point would be Dahlin, Buff 1st ++
would not surprise me if he is extended....that package is not getting you Hughes as another team would swoop in but I guess you never knowCool. I think his value goes down after next season when he becomes a 1 year rental.
Buffalo is not trading away that much for two years of controlAssuming Buffalo doesn’t get 1OA in the lottery and the pick is 2-4 range.

Going from Dahlin to Hughes does not make them any better off than they are now. Trade makes no sense for either team.Yes, Quinn Hughes is fabulous. But the thread is about a trade of him to Buffalo. There is only one player coming back that would actually make any sense from a Vancouver perspective: Dahlin.
Yes Hughes would instantly make the Sabres better, and they’d for certain make the playoffs. But it would be a two season rental. What are the chances Hughes would stay?
Dahlin is better than QuinnLol Quinn Hughes and EP40 for Dahlin, Tage and Tuch.
Is there something wrong with the wake and bake?I get f***ed up a lot but you posted this at 8:15 am OP.
No, he isn't.Dahlin is better than Quinn
