"Hearing that trade talks between the Habs brass and their sandwiches over lunch is heating up. Armed with his new contract, Sedgewick has brought in a full Meatball sub and is demanding no less than two Grade A sandwiches for it"

Don't expect anything from the Habs, they'll use their last retention slot on something and that will be about it.

Love it !!!
All jokes aside, the boys will more than likely do something somewhat small, until we get to the draft next June.
They are half way through their rebuild of sorts.............we all want them to speed it up, but not sure if that will happen.
It did to the Leafs, all because Tavares came home.................Leafs also missed the playoffs 7 out of 8 years while doing their rebuild.

That’s a weird one. I thought the last thing they needed was another centre.
He's played more wing this season I believe but either way I think this is an excellent addition for the Oilers. Also Carrick is a good 4 C, can PK, has high energy, physical, and fights.

He’s taken close to 1,000 faceoffs this year so he seems to be a centre.

Here is a message exchange I had with my wife:

Me: Babe, any updates on trades?
Her: Get a life.

Me: Scour LeBrun, Friedman, Johnston, Dreger, Marek, Weekes and what they offer as info.
Her: Kiss my ass.

Me: Are you hearing anything regarding Savard, Allen, Pearson?
Her: Who the f**k are they? And why the f**k are you bothering me?
Is your name Charlie Kelly by chance
And is your wife's name 'The Waitress'?

Carrick as well, really good move for the Oilers. They need someone like Savard now.
They love their ex Leafs.

But yes, they need an upgrade at RD and then Connor has no more excuses. Secondary scoring is there, depth up front is there, goaltender is seemingly there.
