Would anyone trade future considerations for Huberdeau and a Calgary first like we did with Monahan?
No

He would take ~15% of the cap space for all of the duration of Suzuki and Caufield contract.

He would kill all the momentum of the rebuild.

Yes but Allen has had good success in the playoffs 29 career games a .924% save percentage.
Allen has good name in playoffs. Originating from Blues cup run. Why Marc target him in trade with Blues. Allen is said to be able to pick out opposing goalies weaknesses and play their style in practice. Allowing his forwards to know and practice how to beat goalies. It was pivotal in both '19 and '21 cup runs.

He's going to make great goalie coach someday. Doubt Kent trade him unless blown away.

Kent Johnson has been sent to the AHL a couple of days ago.

He had 40 points in the NHL in his D+2.

What could we give for him? He is a crafty player with a nice shot and very nice mitts, a bit soft tho.

I would totally get him as a LW/C for a Dach type of trade.

I'm not sure what Columbus would want - probably something off of our roster right now as they have picked plenty of players.

He's absolutely someone we should target.

Would anyone trade future considerations for Huberdeau and a Calgary first like we did with Monahan?

God no.

Klingberg has missed his 3rd straight practice.

Deal Armia and Lindstrom for him

Leafs rid themselves of Klingberg, save cap space.

Habs don't have Armia's contract next season and gets a potential puck mover who's f***ing horrendous in his own zone.

So I've read that Kane meet with the Leafs. I'm not sure how they plan to sign him with less than $60k available and I doubt Kane sign for league minimum so they need to move a bigger contract. So who are they gonna cap dump?

Can the Habs get Nylander for future consideration?
Then send Anderson to the AHL to find himself...

Klingberg is the obvious contract to move. Cap hit is 4.15M for a year, I wouldn't mind the Habs taking his contract from the Leafs for a 2nd.

Nylander for futures considerations (to the habs nonetheless)… to make room for a guy that turn 35 in a few days…because Kane had a meeting with the Leafs…:popcorn:Showtiiiime !!!

Were clearing their cap and adding a 22 YO offensive player in the process. It's not to add Klingberg, it's to get Robertson, lol.

Not sure it's worth it to add yet another diminutive winger to the mix.

Klingberg + 1st for Lindstrom + 4th is more what I'd be pushing for

That would be nice but the cost for dumping a 1 year, 4M-ish contract is usually around a 2nd.
Toronto doesn't have a 2nd in the next 3 drafts, so they'll have to find something else to give up.

I don't think adding Lindstrom and a 4th is enough to get a 1st.
Maybe if MTL adds Colorado's 2nd instead of a 4th, it'd be more realistic.

Or if you want to get really creative, how about this:

MTL trades Lindstrom and future considerations for Klingberg.
Futures being Carey Price's contract or Armia in the next off-season. Picks can be involved too.
The Leafs are rich and always operate at the cap. Maybe they'd rather take on Price's contract than give up assets.

Robertson would fit in better with our competition window and he's quite a tenacious player.

Late firsts don't excite me much.

Agreed on the late 1st, though as compensation for cap room, that's about as much as is to be expected if not on the higher end... Plus retaining on Klingberg to ship him out for further draft collateral would also be in play.

Robertson might fit the window (we may well just collect all the '19 WJC stars lol) but I don't know that he fits our roster needs through that window.

CC & Newhook (Ylonen?)
Roy, Mesar, Farrell, Rohrer

It's one thing to add an elite smallish forward to that group, but I can't see the value in targetting another top line longshot that's sub 5'10 when we have the above already in place. Pass.

Roy is 6 foot tall, hes inconsequential to this discussion, ditto Ylonen. Robertson would be better than Mesar, Farrell and Rohrer, these are all long shots, Robertson is an NHl player.

The Habs picked Slafkovsky and they have Dach, thats already a bigger top 9 than the Lightning had in their cup win.

I don't think going from Avs 2nd to TOR 1st is enough of a return to take Klingberg.

As a cap spending team in the middle of a cup focused window, I don't think the Laffs would dare touch Price's contract.

You mistake height for play style.

You mistake Roy for a soft player. Youre wrong on this one. And if were talking play style then that takes off Newhook too.

Where did I say Roy was soft?

Lol you are grasping at straws, as usual.

It's a bad proposal, I pointed out why.

Moving on....
