According to D’Amico, Habs were never offered a 1st rounder for Anderson.

Does it? I've never actually seen the article or video of Lebrun stating he was offered a 1st and I can't find anything that shows he did.Kills Lebrun credibility

As always, it's a question of cost and the circumstances of your respective team. How many championships has McDavid brought to the Oilers? Matthews to the Leafs? Without a strong supporting cast, it's the very rare player that can single handily change the fortunes of any team.

Agreed. But we still don't have a super solid top six. We have to be realistic. We are not ready to compete. We were outplayed by a wide margin by the Coyotes. Our front line talent is very shallow and we are still carrying a number of highly over priced, underperforming veterans that are gobbling up a large percentage of our cap. And are we so certain that our promising prospects will be major contributors? If they fall short of expectations, we will continue to be irrelevant for both the near and far term future. This is not the time to gut our team's future to acquire one player, particularly one who’s never scored 40 goals in a season.Of course but how many Stanley Cup winning teams didn’t have a super solid top 6 with at least 1 or 2 star players
Not surprised, Lebrun seems to be K.Hughes's go-to-insider to spread his propaganda. In a cap-crunched world, Anderson is not worth trading for without significant salary retention or swapping cap-dumps.
Most likely is was a prospect that was a 1st equivalent that the Habs didn't like or wanted more in the deal. That or a hockey trade for a player they didn't like as much.Nowhere does he say or imply a first rounder.
Youre right but wonder what a "serious offer" could be. is a 3rd round pick or a B prospect considered "serious"?Nowhere does he say or imply a first rounder.

I agree though, Lebrun is Kent's mouthpiece

There's no chance Ottawa does that.Cole Caufield for Brady Tkachuk.
Come at me
If an affordable, reliable, shut down, shot blocking, cup winning defenseman isn't worth a 1st, I don't know what is. Bigger question is would Montreal trade him now as he loves playing in Montreal and loved by his teammates.
No need, I already thought of it too. I'm not really a CC fan as I think he's one dimensional, small, shoulder issues, etc and BT is a better all around player with size as well. Teams are always afraid that a player will come back to haunt them, but in this case, it could go both ways.Cole Caufield for Brady Tkachuk.

Lebrun reported serious offer, take something real significant to move Anderson. Hughes not looking to move AndersonNowhere does he say or imply a first rounder.

ive loved the way Armia has played since being sent down. reminds me of the covid playoff run he went on before he got awarded his contract. I think he could be a viable trade target for a playoff team
its click bait as much as the stuff I click and post on...lolDefer to your expertise on this.
Great penalty killer. Strong on the puck and patient with it. Playing very well with Roy and Newhook. His shot is great. Confidence seems like its back.I've said it on here before, but I think Armia has increased his value since his call up. He probably increased it from the moment he was sent down and didn't pout and got to work.
Last year, he had 7 goals and 14 pts in 43 GP. This year, he has 10 goals and 15 pts in 43 GP. So his production is pretty similar. But it's the other things that he's doing that make him more effective this year than he was last year. He's not goin through the motions but creating and contributing more.
