Very unlikely, but wonder if they would consider moving Rutger McGroarty, American boy, captain of the WJC team, Kent Hughes knows that draft class… hopefully he can pull a Cutter Gauthier and refuse to sign with them. Also, love the name!

Seravalli mentioned Boston as a possible destination, but noted they don't have a 2nd round pick this year, or next.

I imagine it's more a 2nd and something than a 1st unless there's a contract coming back of a not very good player on their last year.

I can’t recall ever seeing that many scouts from one team viewing a game. Maybe it’s one elaborate smokescreen.
Jets have assets to make trade, will have about $5m of cap space at the deadline and are playing very good hockey this year. It's pretty much their now or never season.

With the emergence of Struble (who's just incredible right now), could Hughes pull a big move and use Guhle to finally get the missing top 6 piece?

Guhle +

for

Zegras

Could be Drouin for Sergachrv 2.0, or could be the first PPG center in Montreal since Damphousse.

We'd still have Struble, Harris, Xhekaj, Hutson and Matheson on the left side. Which is pretty good. I think Struble could play Guhle's minutes as soon as next year at this rate, he's awesome right now.

I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole, and fortunately I'm pretty sure there's less than zero chance Hughes would either.

I think there's a good chance the Habs target Zegras, but if that's the asking price, not sure any one pays it.

what a stupid trade offer.
Guhle is very good, but Zegras is getting very underrated.

We are very strong on LHD, but we severely lack talent upfront. Trading assets from a position of strenght to shore up a big weakness.

Of course it is risky, but I don't see Anaheim trading Zegras for a bunch of picks or Xhekaj/Harris/Hutson/Struble/etc.

Guhle is the only piece that could move the needle IMO.

Personally I wouldn't consider moving Guhle or Hutson. Any other defense prospect is fair game, but I view those 2 as foundational to our rebuild.

Yeah, of course if he can pull that off without trading Guhle, fine, but no way I'd trade a top 10 pick in this draft or Reinbacher, and I don't see Anaheim going for picks anyways.

Zegras is too soft. Anaheim can keep him. We’re trying to build a championship team, not a pond hockey team.

Dont confuse depth with talent we have alot of bodies at LD but none come close to Guhle

If anything you trade the Xhekajs,Harris,Struble etc.. but Kaiden aint going nowhere hes our future #1 and assistant captain

If he keeps playing like he is and injury free you can add a first to that second but I would prefer a very good prospect. We have 22picks in the next draft,we don't need more unless your looking to package a bunch of draft picks for established good young talent .

No way I trade Guhle. He's part of the core. Having our top 4 with Guhle, Struble and Reinbacher in the near future is going to be a huge boon for this club. We have a chance to draft a good forward this year, Slaf is turning the corner, Dach will be back and Roy is looking good. Our forward prospects are fine. Also, Struble has only played 26 games. I think we need to calm down a bit.

Hopefully the obsession over Zegras stops soon, he's a net negative to a hockey team and he isn't coming here anyways. Some team will overpay for him and that's their problem; luckily we finally have a GM that doesn't make stupid moves and we're safe from that kind of shortsighted vision. Who cares about a soft offensive only player who can score 60 of the softest points in the NHL, we don't need another Drouin.

I really hope we don't get a miniature PLD discussion with hundreds of trade proposals for Zegras clogging up the boards. He is a terrible player archetype, we should be looking in a different direction.
