I was thinking of this last night watching the game and discussing with a buddy. Not saying they would do it, but the team that wins the lottery assuming it's not us, would you guys trade our 1st this year, Calgary's 1st and a solid prospect say like Harris to the lottery winner to take Celebrini? Now I'm not saying it's enough to get it done, but I'd be willing to add to get it done. i think it's time we "go for it" and get that legit franchise player

Yes. The team that wins wouldn't unless Montreal's pick is 2nd to 3rd and they don't like Celebrini.

Where do we sign? FOAs either command a king’s ransom or are just not made available.

It’s going to take much better than that, IMHO. Harris is a throw-in at best.

Habs' unprotected 2024 first rounder, Habs' unprotected 2025 first rounder, Habs' unproteted 2026 first rounder should come close to getting it done for a rebuilding team that would get a good extra first rounder for the 2025 and 2026 drafts, plus a relatively high first rounder for 2024. I'd throw in Barron and Kidney (literally, throw-ins).

High price to payout Habs might have a late first rounder in 2024 for Monahan, Calgary's first rounder in 2025 and a late first rounder in 2026 and some more for Matheson.

If there is any time to give up three consecutive first rounders, it is now.

Montreal would likely still pick in the first round in all three drafts, just later, except maybe for next year with Calgary's choice?

Caufield - Suzuki - Dach
Newhook - Celebrini - Slafkovsky
Heineman- Beck- Roy
Armia - Evans - Anderson
Gallagher

Zohorna on waivers? How's Ylonen?

I wouldn't mind borrowing him for a few games while Anderson and others work on coming back if it means being able to sit Pezz+ once in a while. See how it goes, you know?

Like borrowing an old banged up car just because you need to get to work tomorrow and are otherwise left with a skateboard as your only other viable mean of transportation.

When was it Garth Snow offered all his picks in a draft year trying to pry 1OA? Didn’t work needless to say..

To even start a dialog, opening offer will need to be next 5 1st rounders unprotected

I would do Mesar + Barron + Protected 1st for Zegras, and I hate Zegras

I keep hearing people have goalie problems all over and with Allen's performance last night, we are starting to have three pretty damn good goalies, it's gonna come knocking at our door like crazy soon enough. We could even trade two of them to get good material. And pick an average one as a backup(Fleury?).

Then that's KH job to figure out, I really think it could be done. We are right there IMO and ready for the next step as of next season, the # 10 overall that will be ready in 3-4 years is too long. But that's my opinion

All his picks was 1 through 7 or extra 3rd and 4ths, I'm saying both our 1st this year and Calgary's + young players. Calgary's pick could be a great one, but it's a risk I'm willing to take for Celebrini
