Dude the only trolling i do is on the Ottawa River on a nice summer weekend. If Zegras is all that and has the value of Caufield why would a team like the Ducks who are also rebuilding trying to unload him?I don't see Hughes trying to unload our young guys. Why is that do you think?

And Halak and a second
Not trying to unload him.
No need to make it sounds like its urgent at any price.

media saying Vrbeek might be receiving calls because of the Drysdale trade…

Struble looks like a keeper too.

So if we keep Matheson, Struble and Xhekaj on the LD until Engstrom or Hutson are ready to carry a load, does this allow us to trade Guhle for a really good young forward
(not a project)?
Sooner or later, I would stick with young guys, so I would trade Matheson. Guhle, Xhekaj, Struble, Hutson and Reinbacher, Barron, Mailloux for 25-26 season.

I see all those “Jake Allen to…” rumours but I don’t see a middle ground between what a team would offer (without retention) for Allen and how little HuGo is willing to accept to move Allen (that is a good vet that plants trees etc).

I think Primeau is the one being shopped / likely to be traded. If I’m a contending team no way I’m grabbing Allen with his current play + year remaining.
Hughes must think he is getting something of significant value for Allen or he would have stopped this charade of 3 goalies and put him on waivers.A contending team would not want Primeau as he is still learning at the NHL level.I don't have much faith in either Allen or Primeau to be honest.

I'm not sure you know how many teams have worse goaltending if you think Hughes would waive Jake Allen, significant value or not.

Insider Trading.

Canucks want to add a top 6 forward. Monahan a good option for many teams. Dreger says the Habs have an agreement with Monahan that he would be dealt to a contending team. Dreger expects Monahan to be the first player traded.
Winnipeg is a team I could see a fit. We could go get our 2nd round pick in that deal

We don't have anything interesting for them either outside of Monahan. They could not care less about our overpaid vets like Allen, Dvorak and Armia.
Cap space to make a necessary roster improvement before the TDL is very valuable for a team looking to capitalize on a SC window.

Seeing Sens fans saying nobody is off limit for them to be traded, alrighty then!

Brady Tkachuk for Suz and Guhle.

Then we make a move for a center like Dubois since he's on the fourth line in LA. They keep half the salary.

It's really insane, I know. But we would get crazy big upfront with Tkachuk, Dubois, Slaf, Dach. A way that Conan would be proud.

I'll show my way out....

Lots of teams want to add to their top 6, including the Habs.

Winnipeg and Vancouver would be nice trade match-up, they were bad over the last few seasons so they got some prospect capital to trade instead of picks. Both in good position for the cup, neither of them in the same division. And Winnipeg has the Habs 2nd this year (we want it back!!!). Jets has the cap space too, Vancouver will require sending down two players (they are at 13 forwards, so it kinda works).

But I feel like Monahan will end up some place unexpected (outside being a "contender", so if you list all of them you will be right!).
