Dont want to picky, but he traded for Dvo and his contract , and did not actually sign him.
So Bergevin didn't signed him, my mistake. I was too lazy to check but what the heck, Dvo sucks.
Dvo wasn't enough important for me to check. I saw what I saw from him last year. The cheaper replacement didn't do the job so far. Maybe Dvo will have a decent season this year with MSL. Maybe. Maybe he's gonna smile too. Maybe.
But I doubt it. I think it is written 'Trade at the TDL' in his case. If Dach mature well, he will be Dvo's replacement.
And let's not forget Farrell.

Do we think this is the last weekend before things start moving again?

Yes! Teams have already started signing the fringe UFA's. Look for us to pick up a RHD journeyman and sign the last 2 contracts... and make a huge trade... like maybe Drouin for Eric Weinrich!

It was a trade, Dvorak is cheaper, and had virtually the same production as Danault with .59ppg vs .65ppg
What about the plus and minus stats, what about that? I know your answer, this stat doesn't count for you. There are too many excuses. Always excuses. So a player with big minus stats is a dawn good player, is this what you think?

What about how Danault fit perfectly with his new team? He is now ahead of Kopitar for the LA fans.

What about what we saw from Dvorak with our eyes? A slow skater and a disastrous line overall. He wasn't injured and he wasn't old. A slow skater, is this is the identity of an Habs player?

Because of Dom, I can say it was strike One for Dvo. But after strike 3, he is Out in my mind.

Dvorak is a more than fine 3C. Farrell isn’t a center by the way!

Where in my post did I say he was good? What non-exisistant excuses did I type?

+/- is a garbage stat and everyone knows it. Plenty of good players can have brutal +/-. I'm not comparing them, but Mario Lemieux had a -25 one year, does that make him a bad player? The Habs were -98 and you are surprised Dvorak had a bad +/-? Compared to one of the best defensive players in the game? If you are going to use a crap metric, at least use it properly and compare it to his team mates, and use some context.

He also missed a quarter of the season to injury and the entire team was a train wreck. Why single him out for it?

A slow skater more than fine. Fine for a bottom team, yeah maybe.
4,5 M for a bellow average 3C.
This team used to have high standards and here we are now with fans satisfied with mediority. Expansive mediocrity.
A 45 points 3C who wins important faceoffs is mediocrity?

Having elite 1C and great 2C you wouldn’t even say Dvorak is bad because you wouldn’t ask more from him.

Sean Farell or Joshua Roy easily gets us Nils Lundkvist I would think. Or something along the lines of Jayden Struble ++

It's a lot to give but I do believe that's an NHL defensemen with Top 4 upside down the line at a position we are thin at. It's a gamble I'm willing to take. Although Mailloux seems promising with his tools, injuries have piled on quite a lot.

That being said we should be in no rush to move futures for imminent help but I wonder what you guys think of the move. Would more than likely allow Guhle Barron 1 full year in the AHL playing 1st pairing minutes together...

Not Farrell, he’s our best forward prospect with Heineman…

Farrell is not going anywhere. Nor Joshua Roy for that matter.

Mysak, Kidney territory is more than enough. Lundkvist is forcing a trade, Rangers don’t have that much leverage. And reports on what his ceiling might be, are mixed.

It’s good to know that teams have been talking and as we all see all too often, GMs talk to one other all the time. Only certain talks get leaked all depending on who someone’s source is, however, that doesn’t mean there aren’t other live wires and advanced stage talks going on elsewhere, concurrently.

Whether this pans out or not, we’ve been speculating a long time about when Gorton/ Bobrov protégés might become trade targets. Curious to see how far Hughes might be willing to go on this, if it pans out.

If Hugo can can Kravtsov, I’d be a very happy camper. Add him to an already much bigger, faster and more skilled lineup and we’re 3 years ahead of the curve when it comes to young players on the team. Next year, add another top 5 prospect and with the cap, fix the goal and D problem and we’ll be a legitimately contending team next year.

Just imagine a top 6 of:

Anderson Suzuki Caufield
Slafkovsky Dach Kravtsov

Lane Hutson for Nils Lundkvist.

I'm sorry boys, there can only be one
No chance and it isn't happening because the Rangers want a forward. I suppose the Rangers might be interested in him in a Karvtsov - Lundkvist trade as their first pick in the 2022 draft was the 63rd pick and he went on the 62nd pick.
