Dhaliwal is decently connected in VAN so if he is starting to say it, wow.

I would trade the sun, moon, and stars for EP.

Don't think Vancouver trades him until the off-season. Making the conference finals or Stanley cup finals can go a long way in getting a player to sign.

What?

He is a disaster..he needs to get his actual life, not his hockey life, back on track at home in Slovakia and forget about hockey altogether

Vrana is Czech.

And so was his buddies, Zadina, Hronek and Kubalik, all who Yzerman did want out in a single moment. They didn't even draft a czech player in next draft.

There maybe was something "bobprobertlike" going on and proably all czechs were involved. Vrana was the main idiot, which maybe others protected behind the scenes or were slightly involved.

I'm too old and smart to find the rumours, see the acts at Finnish wold championship tournaments here in Tampere and figure out, how totalitarian Stevie Y would act, when he would hear about any unprofessional behaviour.

The scouts were. Stevie will know.

Especially, when it did continue at NHL season (Vrana). Benched during the 2nd game and put on the program....

Summer acts are maybe forgiven, but bad habits at May tournament - does bust you out. You are not a 100% guy Yzerman will want this core to be!

Something very unprofessional habits for professional - Yzerman-lead team.

Yzerman was ready to pay 5 million to get these guys out.

It tells something, and it tells something very big.

Pettersson would be gigantic. I would trade anybody for him except Seider.

I would not want him for 12M caphit.

Just think a second. We have Larkin for 8.7M.

8.7M

Eightpointseven MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

And that will leave 4.1M player with Larkin, instead of Pettersson 12M player with 800k player.

Equal packages.

Save the 4M! Don't be an idiot!

Lately, the way he plays on the pp is quite infuriating. He makes really poor passes/judgment. He winds up for a one timer, but he isn't a the top of the slot where his shot is very lethal, no, he is on the blue line in the corner of the zone. Literally the farthest away you could possibly be in the o-zone. Then he ends up not even shooting it and get's semi-caught from a rushing defender and either loses the puck or barely get's it to someone and they have to restart the momentum.

He always was bad with the passing. He loves to try and thread that needle through 6 legs and 6 sticks but he is never successful.
I much prefer seeing #53 out in his spot for PP1 or PP2, depending who’s stepping onto the ice first.
Give #53 80% of the PP time, I understand TOI needs to be monitored and the team is trying to control his usage as much as possible, but Ghost hasn’t looked that sharp as of late.

Couldn’t agree more with you.

The price tag of which will come with the extension for Petersson is not what this team needs. It will cripple the potential good cap situation Yzerman is setting this team up to have moving forward.

With Byfield coming on, I think the Kings will have a cap crunch and need to move out a roster player plus a younger player and possibly for a lower price then otherwise. Younger players such as Kaliyev, Turcotte, and Jordan Spence. Also, looking at their cap situation down the road, they don't get much relief until 26-27 when they will need to give Brandt Clarke a new contract and likely other young players, previously mentioned.

I am very interested to see what happenes between now and March 8th. I hope that Rob Blake isn't affraid of Yzerman and just avoids him. Lot's of opportunity there.

what about as a base of a trade:

perron for stephenson on VGK

stephenson can play center and is currently over 50% in FO. He still has legs and can compete. Has won a couple cups so we aren't losing experience on our side at all and he is a supposed to be a good locker room guy. both are on their final year in the contract too.

VGK would be okay with getting perron back, they all love him here. So why not? who adds and by how much? We may have to retain as stephenson makes half what perron makes, but vgk is gaming the ltir situation so it may work without it.

Names at rumours:

- LW/RW Pavel Buchnevich, 5.8M, 2 years left, 28-year old Marian Hossa -syled two-way elite forward
- LW Jake Guentzel, 6.0M, 1 year left, 29-year old Tyler Bertuzzi-styled elite netfront grinder
- LW Lawson Crouse, 4.3M 4 years left, 26-year old physical netfront power-forward. Bigger and stronger than Guentzel, not as skilled.

- LD Noah Hanifin, 4.95M for 1 year from UFA. 27-year old overall defenceman.
- RD Chris Tanev, 4.5M for 1 year, 34-year old defensive defenceman.
- RD Adam Larsson, 4.0M for 2-years, 31-year old defensive defeceman.

- G Juuse Saros, 5.0M for 2-years, 28-year old smallish goalie.

I would add vatrano to that list. That’s a guy I could see yzerman wanting. 2 years left, affordable contract and a guy like Berggren + a 2nd could get it done

I think they’re done with reclamation projects. The Wings have their own young guys to make room for and the current roster is pretty full and meshing well. I think Yzerman will go big or stand pat.

He has one year left after this season. Also Hossa?

Depth is great the way it is now, so giving up assets for more seems redundant. If we're going to do any trades, it will be for either:

Making room for a prospect, or to save cap next season.

Top 4 defenseman

Top 6 six forward.

The two latter are if we are going to make a run for it, and I don't think we are.

Trade ghost for 3rd ... use the 3rd and add a 2nd for tanev with him agreeing to 3 year extension. Call up edvinsson

Trade fabbri now in preparation of shedding a roster spot next season abd saving a bit of money. Call up berggren

Trade viro and a 2025 4th for duhaime

Perron Larkin raymond
Debrincat compher kane
Rasmussen Copp berggren
Duhaime Veleno sprong
Kostin Fischer

In reality berggren stays in grand rapids and fabbri stays till the summer but I'd do it now. Much rather have berggren out on the 2nd ppl over veleno

Walman seider
Edvinsson tanev
Maata chiarot
Holl
Petry

We worry about getting rid of holl in the off season

Think adding tanev and duhaime would make us a tougher out in the playoffs

if the next one is faster than perron than i would think just one more would probably do it.

He's faster than everyone except Larkin, and even that's pretty close. Not sure who'd win. He's got such a deceptive easy stride, you don't realize how fast he is. Watch this breakaway.

Vegas isn't gonna trade him, but he'll be available in free agency.

Anyone comparing him to slow Helm is an idiot. Chandler is Helm with some hands.
