Not really. Joe veleno should see 0 seconds of powerplay time. Berggren has lots of skill

If the the power forward we get can also play the ppl whole beating the shit out of some punks. Even better

When I say jammier I mean harder to play against. Veleno is harder for opposing teams to play against than Berggren is.

Honestly, when I look at our last two losses I just don't see what Berggren brings that would change outcomes of games.

Hes also easier for opposing teams to stop on the power play. Get rid of veleno and fabbri and insert berggren and power forward and wed be better off. And for the 4c questions to come I'm at a point where to just shove copp as a 4th c and make him the best/most expensive 4th liner in the league

Berggren has more skill and is more talented than some of the guys on the team . You cant see that, oh well

Seider is very durable
You can't sign people for 10 years, and Larkin is not so good that a better player shouldn't make more.
his value going to increase , just give him as long contract as possible up to 10 years

I want him , but not for that price. I actually believe nobody in the team should be paid more than Larkin

With the cap expected to rise significantly, you are going to have to let go of that belief. Larkin gave the team a sweetheart deal.

It's quite possible that Seider will start making more than Larkin as soon as next season. Unlikely, but possible.

Ya I'm sorry but larkin ain't no lidstrom. we should have zero problem giving someone more money than larkin if the player deserves it. And if a caliber ufa like draisaitl contacts us we wont say no thanks 5$ less than Dylan's cap hit or nothing

He’s barely been on the PP at all lately and only was at the end of this one as Larkin was out of the game and Compher had already played a ton of minutes. Get real here please.
we should have a better option than Joe veleno on the powerplay .

Lol, he was on the PP we rolled out down 4-0 with 3 mins and change left. Bigger fish surely.

I would love to see them trade away 2 d. Can be any from 3-7 non of them are to damn important call up aljo and ed. Then trade fabri and call up berggren. Id play berg, cop and sprong on the 3rd and kostin, ras and fischer on the 4 and veleno as 13th. If they could do that it would clear up decent cap next year + let some young guys play. And btw i think the team loses very little short term and gets the future some experience and we are better off for it. Plus we need a 4th line that checks. Tough teams eat the wings up. Hell if elmer could play pissed id put him on the team to but doubt that happens.

He’s a young player that people think has gotten a raw deal. That’s it. Berggren is like the Lions backup QB. He’s the greatest player alive until he actually plays

I wouldn't mind Radko Gudas on this team. Would be nice if Duvks could retain 25-50%.

Again, if we’re dealing assets, I’d rather use them to acquire a good player.

Wings are 10th in PP at 22.7%,, last year 17th. Every team ahead of them this year has more top-end talent, especially at PP QB whether it's Ghost or Seider. It's a waste of time to think any minor changes to PP rotations are necessary or would produce better, game-changing results than what they've been getting all year.

Don't want any part of rentals except as low-cost minor additions to bottom line, bottom pair or pressbox. Buchnevich is interesting because of the year remaining at a good AAV. A heavier winger than Fabbri/Sprong might be useful on a 4th line with Veleno-Fischer. Or even a vet 4th line C like Gourde or Boyd who wouldn't cost much, in Gourde's case because of his contract and what might be a permanent down-turn in production. Call up Edvinsson. Griffins are comfortably in second, can't catch Milwaukee and he can return when Griffins' playoffs last longer than Wings' playoffs (or less).

Only real concern for me is if Lyon is hitting a wall. A months-long No. 1 workload is a totally new deal for him.

Just over seeing the guy out there on the powerplay
Joey has 59GP this season, 26pts, 5pp points with a sporadic role on PP2. He brings speed, some beef, good defense and forecheck. He was one of the few forwards who carried his weight yesterday.

Berggren last season had 67GP, 28pts, 9pp points as pretty much a regular on the PP2. He brings none of the things Veleno provides and in against a team like FLA he is basically unplayable cuz he would get mauled. His skill is nice, but he's almost unplayable 5on5 and he is not as good on PP2 to justify kicking off Fabbri, Perron, JT or Sprong. And he will definitely be unplayable in potential playoff games.

I know that I got a soft spot for Joey, but I don't think this is a biased take. And despite yesterday: scoring is not our problem.

I really like the Adam Larsson idea btw

Veleno is a 4th liner and wont be a wing for long imo. He'll want close to a rasmussen deal and I cant imagine him getting it with raymond seider kane etc... needing new deals .

Berggren had 15 goals as a rookie and the wings were also garbage last season and has way more skill than joe. I'm sure hed produce more this season with the roster being way better

Everybody got mauled against Florida yesterday. I'd much rather have him on the ppl than fabbri who's as good as gone by summer 25. Hes always injured and cant be relied upon

Larsson would be nice depending the price but I'd imagine seattle would want a 1st and I wouldnt give up a 1st for 2 playoff runs considering where were at
