the prospect of a McNabb/Scuderi 3rd pair is honestly a bit terrifying, even in our system and likely sheltered by Kopitar's line

3 different teams are going to be paying Scuds salary. If Chicago retains on Scuds and the Kings retain on Ehrhoff, how much will the kings actually be on the hook if he doesn't retire next year? My guess is 1.5M. You guys are overreacting, we ALL knew DL couldn't get a deal done without trading real assets which they don't have at this point, that Gaborik injury made it impossible to deal Pearson so he's patching together a team for a run. He'll get another depth winger and hope Gaborik comes back in time and contributes. They won't lose Mersch, Kempe, or Pearson. Let's just hope Anaheim does nothing at the deadline or overpays for a rental.


Also on a sidenote, if Chicago makes another deal because they get some cap space and beats the Kings in the WCF we can all punch DL but if Chicago makes a deal and beats the Ducks in the WCF with the help they acquire, we can throw DL a party.
