I really like Okhotiuk. That's a good mid-pairing type guy for Grier to get in this deal.

Muk has top 4 ceiling. Nikita will play lots of NHL games. Zetterlund will play lots of NHL games. One first and one conditional 1st (gotta see the conditions).

Not a bad haul for SJ at all.

No interest in KA matching that price.

That's a huge haul. They had to be thinking they were bidding against the Canes on this. In which case, they couldn't sit there waiting for a bargain.

Buffalo doesn't have the defensemen for one thing. And moving Zetterlund - does Buffalo have a younger NHL forward who is shown to make such a solid 2-way impact on every line he goes on?

We couldn't. We either have the recent 1sts, Levi......or then a whole bunch of question marks. The Devils have a deeper prospect pool than we do and it's not even close to being close.

We couldn't match this offer unless we went with a stupid overboard payment.

We don't have a Zetterlund. We don't have a Mukwhatever. Maybe some could argue that Nikita and Johnson are roughly equal.
