This is the latest take that needs to be shut down.

If they sign him for the purpose of burning an ELC year then fine - but nobody should expect a guy like him coming from college to immediately produce in the NHL.

I don't mind the overpayment. Just frustrated Adams didn't bring that same policy to improving the D.

The plugs we traded away weren’t good enough to crack a roster full of rookies. The plugs we traded for were at least starters on NHL teams. Hence different value.
