Just checking in...

So... Like Hronek? A 25 year old RHD having a breakout season who will still be an RFA when his contract ends in 2024.

And who was just traded along with a 4th for a 1st + 2nd?
And to the other conference. You know that the Red Wings would have asked for a lot to trade him within the division.

The Eichel one was no secret to Vegas. The others? Not worth talking about, so no surprise they don't get any attention.
People don’t waste breath speculating on big future consideration moves

What trade in the last three years could you even be referring to? We knew Eichel was likely to Vegas….and even had talked pretty much the exact package
Eichel, Reinhart, and Ristolainen were no brainers in that they had to go. But no one really knew where until the trade was announced. Re-signings have also just been dropped, mostly without much warning.

It was a typo on my part U25.

he is 2 yrs to UFA just like z chychrun so no.

That is my opinion. I don’t give Pegula a ton of credit for Beane and McDermott, and I don’t give him a lot of hate for Botts and Murray. They were all good hires on paper. Some work out, some don’t

What I want from a sports owner is not to meddle and to be willing to spend money. I don’t attribute a GM’s failures or successes to them. They best an owner can do is hire someone qualified and hope it works out, and fire them if it doesn’t
he could have hired a vet GM; why hire another rookie GM after the Murray failure??? that's a decision and he failed.

The evaluation is nearing completion. The assessment will soon begin.
It won‘t. The “hey…last I checked the deadline hasn’t passed yet” crowd will move the goalposts to the offseason. Meanwhile someone legit tries to dunk on me with “I tHoUgHt AdAmS wOuLdNt MaKe TrAdEs” over RILEY STILLMAN…so there is no floor here.

We’re just lucky the NHL salary cap has one

You have to wonder why Yzerman would value those picks more than Hronek. He's as you said only 25, he's on an affordable deal, Detroit is in a fine cap position for the foreseeable future, and they don't have anyone to replace him as a 2nd pairing RD long term right now. Seider is their #1, and Edvinsson is a LD. Clearly Yzerman didn't value him as highly as the picks, despite him still being young and fitting within their age range.

There has also been talk that the Wings were in on Chychrun and are also hunting around Erik Karlsson. They might make a deal with that draft stock yet.

Can one media member ask them one time when they say this when the future arrives and who is playing defense? Or what happens if Levi does what most goalie prospects do and take years to be maybe ok sometimes?
If they were willing to at all push back they’d be in a bigger market
