I’d part with a 1st plus for Saros
Interested in Parayko depending on cost
Same with Fabbro, Roy

Only rentals I’m interested in are vets that have been in playoff pushed before and can offer a boost to the room like Shattenkirk and Dumba.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I want to hope - but I'm resigned to getting nothing.

Saros seems like a pipe dream. I'd offer a lot.

Parayko for anything that doesn't include Adams' precious 'top 5' prospects or '23 R1 feels like the best move we could make at this point. Would a couple of R2's get it done?

Chychrun is signed for another two seasons before even considering an extension.

We can sneak into the playoffs, Ottawa can miss - Chychrun will likely make a division rival better next season & beyond while we will likely have a gaping hole defensively during that time.

Understood. This is solely addressing the hysterics about this season's playoff race. We'll see what the odds for next year look like next year, but I bet we're ahead of them then too.

Genuinely curious. Do people think Adams is consulting his front office and (respected) analytics department about these decisions? History seems to suggest that he adheres to a consultative management style. Yet most of the criticism points to personal failings on Adam's part: he's a dimwitted mope or lacks the balls to make the big trade or both. Maybe he's simply listening to the best advice of his organization?
