Toronto looking for a goal scorer. Olofsson?
They have a surplus of d men, but I dont think either team would want to help each other out. And, honestly- the D men they are likely to have available aren't going to be the ones we want.

Liljegenren would peak my interest, but I doubt they want to move him.

Source on Girgs? That sounds Facebook-y

He lives there in the off-season and his wife is from there. It comes up about once a year but there has been nothing but people speculating about it. It would be like us saying Matheson wants to leave Montreal to come "home" to Buffalo just based on where his off-season home is.

I've seen plenty of Sabres fans proposing impact trades that included the Sabres '23 1st and Savoie or Ostlund for immediate help.

Here is one media guy gauging fan interest in a Chychrun offer that includes Ostlung and the Sabres '23 1st, for instance.

Kulich is the one guy that most fans want to keep because of how good he's looked in Rochester.

Maybe swap Ostlund for Rosen; not gonna give them top5; top10 protected shall suffice

You guys would probably need to throw something else in. Not sure why each side would be unwilling to work out a trade that works for both sides

Oh, definitely. Not sure how much he would cost. I haven't paid a ton of attention to him, but he seems to be trending into a good top-4 defenseman.

Spot on.

It always makes me so angry when that idiot Paul Hamiltion goes on WGR after they sign someone to an extension saying this is an indication that the team will spend money. Does he not realize there is literally a minimum cap they have to hit, and they are at 60 million next year with pretty much a full roster.
Hamilton is nothing more than a shill for the organization as well as all the Buff News crew. The Pegulas got rid of Sullivan and Gleason because they questioned the operations.

Sullivan got rid of himself. Gleason is/was not good at his job. They got rid of themselves.

it was almost shocking to hear analysts finally repeatedly hammer them for their goaltending last night on the espn broadcast. It really point to how homerish and poor the local coverage is now.

They’ll catch up next year if moves aren’t made.

There isn't realistically a goalie available who would make sense to acquire right now. Maybe Vejmelka from Arizona if a Chychrun deal happens - but he's not much more than a question mark himself.

Remember how many of us wanted Campbell in the summer & how bad he's now looking for Edmonton ?

They certainly need to do more - but it's probably going to be a trade/FA signing in the offseason after Anderson retires.

Oh yeah, if Buffalo would've signed him to the contract many wanted- it would've been face on them. That contract would've hampered us in the future. Ugly!

Goaltenders in FA is largely a crapshoot. Ive asked in the past who posters wanted from last year's FA crop or via trade, and the question largely falls on deaf ears.

I usually give Kevyn the benefit of the doubt but if he doesn't move the rights to Portillo this week that is a big fail.
Maybe Portillo will sign? Is there a more wide open opportunity in the league for a goalie than the Sabres? He could split 50/50 with Levi in Rochester next year and possibly have the inside track for the starter’s job depending on how that goes.
