i am not convinced lindholm does not work. he just hasn't worked yet and has set off some alarm bells. the guy has a contract to earn somewhere next year so i expect him to get with the program.

but i am just fine if we trade him.

That's fair, still some games for him to find his stride here, and maybe he can crank up the intensity in playoffs.

Lindholm for DeBrusk 3rd
Suter 3rd 4th for Toffoli (75% retained) C. Miller
5th for Duhaime

Debrusk Miller Boeser
Hoglander Pettersson Toffoli
Joshua Blueger Garland
Mikhayev Lafferty Duhaime

PDG Amen Kessel Podkolzin

Hughes Hronek
Zadorov Soucy
Cole Myers

Miller Juulsen Friedman

I'm hoping for this but am fine if we keep Lindholm just think we could re sign Debrusk and he would fit well with Miller Boeser

Dallas has crazy depth:

Rintz, Benn, Robertson, Duchene, Pavelski, Seguin, Stankhoven and Marchment.

Oilers have crazy depth:

McDavid, Drai, Hyman, RNH, Kane, Perry and Henrique

Knight have crazy depth:

Stone, Eichel, Stephenson, Barbashev, Karlsson, Mantha and Marchessault.

We are deep but we just dont line up as strong as them.

EP, JT, Lind, Brock, Garland....

Might be the Oiler, Stars or Panthers year this year.

I wonder where Kessel fits. 333 career PP points (119 PPG). Perhaps the team sees his benefit there as a PP specialist on the 4th line?

you have to hope that Demko makes up for the forward's shortcomings

I am still laughing over the condition Conroy allowed Vegas to have where its "we have the option to still trade away the pick we gave you and punt you another year, giving you a prospect that won't hit the NHL until Conroy is in year 5-6 of his tenure (and likely gone)"

I think it's safe to assume that pick will be traded pretty soon. There is honestly no reason to not use it as a trade asset.

I can’t believe that Anaheim got more for Adam Henrique than Calgary got for Hanifin who was probably the premier asset available at this deadline.

yes that was all world desperation.

these GMs hoping to squeeze teams are so stupid. Could have moved Hanifin in a Hronek or Horvat type deal and then they end up with this??? unreal

and in actuality they should have gotten more than above

The Benning regime is marred by a lack of Skater development. If you didn't hit the ground running like Bo, Boeser, Quinn, Petey, you were not developing. Sadly, I'm not confident that Forsling/McCann would have figured it out here with Cull, Green as their HCs.
Both players never bloomed until at least their D+7 years..and their third organization..They were late bloomers..Canuck fans are extremely impatient, and would've given up on these players, regardless of who was running the team.

Schneider has a ton of value he was untouchable last year to Ranger fans. Kakko who I really like has marginal value. Schneider is worth more than Drury.
Schneider has played pretty meh for the Rags, they no longer place him on a pedestal, I agree that he should be worth more than Drury though

I think that's my point. Guenztel is a pure rental and teams know he will test UFA.

We know Dubas wants to trade him but teams will not get into a crazy bidding war here.

Pens fans are going to be underwhelmed if they are getting a massive haul or A+ prospect.

considering Vegas has been outsmarting teams for a few years now, Im conditioned to it.

I'm at a point, where if they don't win the trade comfortably I'm surprised.

Still their cup chances will hinge on Mark Stone's health, you can add a few decent pieces but nothing replaces a 2 way winger who can put up ppg and win his matchup in the playoffs.

If Stone is healthy come playoff time, they are my picks for the cup

I 100% agree, if CGY uses all of those picks that they just acquired, especially their complement of late firsts they have totally lost the plot. They should be using the extra picks to at least try and trade up their late firsts into a better quality position, or using them at their highest value and trading for players with team control at the draft itself.

Now do I think Conroy is smart enough for that, absolutely not.

Toffoli’s skating has dropped a level in the last year or two and it was never good to begin with.
it has but he's like Corey Perry in he just nows how to find holes in the defense. If your asking him to sprint then sure it's a negative but as a finisher and playmaker beside 2 high octane players in Pettersson and Hoglander i think he would be fantastic
