GDT: Trade Deadline: Tampa won the Jeannot sweepstakes!

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

Feel the same way. I doubt I'd feel that way if most of the other Dmen on this team weren't "boring". Ruh was fine as a depth piece, but now I feel we collect positional defensemen like it's going out of style

One of the major issues with the roster is it's just loaded with vanilla depth pieces but doesn't have enough other kinds of role players.

It blows my mind that Ruhwedel's been around for like 7 years. :laugh: Dude's like an extra that appears in the background of every episode, sometimes having a big enough part to make a fool out of himself before going back to the background.

We have to live vicariously through other teams at the deadline with lazy ass Hextall ruining…I mean running this team.
 
This Pens are going nowhere if they don't fix the goalie problem. It would be stupid to trade for the usual forward if you have DeSmith as n°1. We need a 1B goalie to platoon with Jarry (if he ever came back), like we did with Vokoun. If you don't fix it, just be a seller at the TDL and hope for the best.

I don't even think trading for a top flight goalie even helps this team going forward the way the entire bottom 6 and blueline are playing. It's just throwing good money after bad.

They’re going to need a goalie for next season unless they’re “just throwing good money” at Jarry, which they shouldn’t…so trade for someone with term now if a goalie is available…may not be a panacea for this season but going to have to plan for the future…

He's a perfect #7. Makes less than 1M. Can sit in the press box for long stretches and still look ok when he comes back. Good teammate. Happy to fill his role.

What sucks is when a guy gets hurt and we don't promote a guy like Smith because we don't have cap or Sully just doesn't want to play him
