Kings done for the day, supposedly. I tweeted Gann and that's what he told me. Pretty disappointing, especially knowing other teams got better (Minnesota, Anaheim).

The Kings got better two days ago, and will be getting even better when Greene comes back

How did the Ducks get better ?

Other than Fasth coming out of nowhere (which the kings have lit him up already).

They added Plugs ...

Regehr is better than anything the Ducks have done.

Hell just getting Greene back is better.

Not disappointing at all. We addressed the only true need this team had for the postseason. Doubt many of the spare part forwards moved, within our price range, would have been much of an improvement over Penner/Toffoli. We've won a cup with this offense, it is up to the defense, which got addressed, and our goaltending. Everything has to come together for a successful cup run, need them playing their best no matter who we acquired.

Not to hype things up, bc I honestly don't know the details, but I'm told Washington's trade is "fairly significant." Announcement coming

Signifcant??? Ovie?

off the top of my head after the cup:

OUT:
Kevin Westgarth, Andrei Loktionov, Simon Gagne, Davis Drewiske, (richard clune / thomas hickey -waivers)
two 2nd round picks, one 5th round pick,

IN:
Keaten Ellerby, Robyn Regehr, Anthony Stewart
conditional 4th // 4th // three 5ths // one 6th

i know i got some of this wrong, just wanted to take a big picture look at our transactions this year. a LOT of quality went out.

Not really. Hickey was about the only one that I would be mad over (Personally)

It'a over an hour past the deadline and there is still an unknown Caps trade out there and we still don't have the full details on the Wild deal for Pommer, weird

The Kings are the Stanley Cup champs....and have the same exact team that won the cup. SO, I'd say we have the best team out there.

I can't say that I see a single thing I would identify with the term "quality".

Joking right?

"@MayorNHL: #LAKings GM Dean Lombardi confirms the plan is to try and get 2010 first rd pick defenseman Derek Forbort inked in the next few days."

Well.. That's good news for us? Doesn't that mean he goes to Manchester instead of his senior year at ND?

I'd assume so. Would be best for his development. Good on him.

Nope just the two 2nd rounders, But that is the price for steady Defenders this trade deadline.

Not to mention they are expected to be late. We have a lot of prospects in the pipeline as is, not to mention 10 picks in the draft this year. Makes me wonder where we stand on both our contract and player limits. Too lazy to look them up :P
