This was such a classic Panthers loss I asked my wife to confirm Florida won the Cup last year or if I just had too many gummies and fried my brain but she reminded me I swore I would never watch them again if they choked a 3-0 series lead so I know it's real.

all i have to say is they may have lead in hits but there was no CLEARING their guys out of the paint the aggressive mindset they usually play with was not there. they just keep blowing leads.

I'm sure for neutral fans this is one hell of a series. But in Edmonton and FL there's going to be a rise in future heart conditions after these past two series lol.

Still frustrating to see this team, a 3 time repeat finals appearance team, just collectively take their foot off the gas in the 2nd. Clearly, it wasn't fatigue, as in the 3rd they were 100 times better than that ass display.
Bob had a few softies, 18 skaters checked out and they blew a chance at a 3-1 lead.
Why it took them 20 minutes to wake up, I don't know. Wasn't like McDrai went super saiyan either. It was Darnell Nurse, Pods, and RHN beating Bob in the 2nd. some that the defense just let them have.
How we had 10 SOG in the 2nd, I don't know. 8 had to be from the red line on a bad dump in attempt.

If they lose this series I definitely need a mental reset from this team but I’ll always be grateful they won. A choke last year would’ve been it for me mentally as a fan of this team. I could’ve never been as invested ever again. If they lose this year it’ll suck because they had the chance to be one of the greatest teams ever. It’s so hard to be as invested when you've watched your team achieve a cup as a fan. Nothing will ever feel as good as that moment.

Before this series, we were something like 26-0 when leading after 1st or 2nd period…

Outside of Lundell's chance in the 2nd, they had no high scoring chance IMO. They went from aggressive to passive for the first 20-30 mins after the 1st ended.
I joked about it in the 1st period, but they really started to let off the gas after a 3-0 lead and played way too safe.

Funny thing is that when they turtle they suck ass. Of that was playing safe then I don’t ever want to see what playing bad would look like. You have to keep pressure on Edmonton because if they’re free to do whatever they’re going to get plenty of chances. They’re too good. Even their scrubs had a great night last night.

I agree. Letting Edmonton always have the puck will lead to more chances, and penalties against.

3 out the 4 games we turtled and blew the lead. Game 3 was long over and Edmonton was looking for hits not goals.
I just don't get how either the team allows to let off the gas or the coaching staff considers it for one second to play it safe. Wrong team to do it against.
Credit I guess to Edmonton for not rolling over dead, but I didn't think it was they came out at 125% due to Pickard or just played that much better. It was the Panthers simply not wanting to take risks with the change in the Ozone and just being comfortable dumping it and resetting.

If they take advantage of Pickard’s poor puck handling ability (dumps behind the net being much more effective than against Skinner).
