I understand not wanting to ruin chemistry but I don’t see how adding forwards could hurt. Especially bottom-6 help. Ultimately, we rely heavily on 5 forwards. Depth kills in the playoffs, we should add as much as we can depending on the costs associated. I know some of us have ptsd from the ‘22 season but I believe we would’ve done worse if we didn’t acquire giroux and chiarot. it wasn’t because of them that we didn’t do well. That team was never going to succeed in the playoffs with the style they ran, not to mention a group led by Huberdeau vs tkachuk now just for another example of the difference between now and then. We never added at the deadline under Maurice but it seems like, at least with D, you can infuse almost anyone into this team/system and they’ll gel. You need depth. I’m hoping we pick up 2 forwards and maybe a depth D, ideally. Give me tarasenko, maybe an okposo or clutterbuck or even a Zucker if they can make it work asset wise. One impact forward and another on the cheap.

Eberle sounds good. But I don't know. Does he have enough edge to him? Haven't been watching him for a while. I think if we could get someone on the top line with Barkov and Reinhart. If we could put Verhaeghe on that second again, it's just too good of a fit. Especially going into the playoffs.

Unless the price is high on Mantha due to overvaluing his size, still wouldn't mind if Zito traded for him.
Just got to have Maurice "motivate" him for the last stretch of the season and hopefully he steps up as he's an UFA.

Tarasenko would be a nice bolster for the offense and Dorion is gone, so they may be willing to do more divisional trades.

He’s got more goals than half our forwards this season and only 2 less than Bennett and 3 less than barkov. Unless there’s large holes in his game now, I don’t see the harm in someone like him being a 4th line add at the deadline if he’s cheap.

He doesnt play our bottom 6 game, no foot speed, no physical play, long concussion history.

One high risk high reward player who could be available is Evander Kane. There's been some talks of him and the Oilers not having the best relationship at the moment and Edmonton has to clear some cap space if they wanna make any moves. Has a NMC and a 5,125m cap hit with two years left. Great scorer who plays with an edge and could fit in our style very well. A risky move but the thing is we don't have a lot of assets and he would probably be basically free.

No way the Oilers can afford to jettison him now, offseason maybe.

Sabres are a team with bad ownership + dumb management but even I don't think they are stupid enough to send us Alex Tuch.

Ottawa's in the division, but I don't think they give a crap about sending us Tarasenko as a rental, as they're out of the playoff picture. Buffalo, on the other hand...

Yeah no way Tuch is available. He is a leader in that room and one of the few who give a shit. Would love to have him though.

Does he hate Panthers enough to score own goals when playing Tampa…?
I think escaping CHI to be on another Stanley Cup run, in the state of Florida, would energize the 3 time champion.

He knows the grind better than anyone we have.

That’s fine then. Our scouts were at a Buffalo game recently and thought he could be someone they were potentially targeting perhaps. Theres a handful of guys out there I’d like as 4th line options. Duhaime being another
