Carter is a guy I’ve thought would be a good get for awhile. A lot more in the tank than Marleau had last year, and Cup experience never hurts.

I thought he said last year it was LA or retirement...guess he changed his mind.

Carter seems like a flashy JR move that backfired

He's better than Marleau, but I think it's kind of along the same lines. Why? Doesn't seem to really do much of anything.

Unless he's dirt cheap or we're unloading a guy like Petts (with another depth blueliner in the works tomorrow) I don't see the reasoning behind adding Carter.

WTF is with this team coveting terrible players? Just because they got lucky with 1 year of Ceci, doesn't mean it will happen again. Jack Johnson shakes his head at this (hopefully) rumor. We sit a better player to make room for this guy.

His actual salary is $2 mill, so he may just hang em up or get “injured.”

Plus, if you get him at 50%, you could do a lot worse than Carter at 2.5 in your bottom 6 next year.

well, he’s big lol...and he plays center...

LA would have to retain big time ...he’s signed next year which isn’t ideal

No idea what it would even take. I’m guessing if they get Carter Petts is going the other way so I’m not sure what would need added to get Iafallo because I don’t really know his value
