Kings definitely need a winger. Kopitar plays with the least talented top line wingers in the league. Not sure why its bad leadership to ask for a winger. When thats clearly what we need to have a chance of winning. A little pressure on management to get it done from the captain is ok with me.

There's no issue with the truth value of his comment. Everyone agrees imo. The issue is that as captain/leader of the team and getting paid 14 million dollars this year, he's a major reason we DONT have wing depth, and he's offensively the issue. If he were having the same year as last year leading the team no one bats an eye--but after abysmal performance and especially after tonight's **** show, it just sounds like he's passing the buck instead of taking responsibility for himself. That and his play are very unlike him, something is eating him up.

The best way (and perhaps most preferable way for all parties) to get new wingers

He clearly has not embraced it, and it seems Brown is loving not having to deal with it, because they even mentioned last night he does not have to take anything home with him anymore. Now I have absolutely no idea what a captain of an NHL team has to take home from work, but apparently there is something.

I personally think it needs to be a guy who is single, with no wife for family considerations. Road trips are long, its not like east coast teams who spend most of their games within the same time zone.

Guys with families and kids, have a lot of stuff to deal with.

Really the only one that needs to be left exposed is McNabb. DL can opt to protect 8 players and a goalie, as opposed to the 7-3-1 option. There just aren't many forwards that need protection. So DL can protect Doughty, Muzzin, Martinez and Forbort. Gravel and LaDue are exempt.
