Gotta keep the winning culture intact in order to secure the #1 pick.

Will be difficult, if not impossible, to overtake OTT for the #1 position - they’re gonna field an AHL team for the rest of the year.
But given the fact there isn’t too much of a difference between #1 and #2 I getting the top pick, we’ll have to hope the lottery balls bounce the right way for us.

Many other players better than what we have on our roster did not get traded. Ottawa really held up the trade deadline by waiting till the last minute to trade Stone. The trickle down effect may not of had enough time for teams to try and add a lesser player.

Our best player still have term And unless Blake was offering up a player like Drew Doughty or some of our young pups I could see why his hands were tied. Our big move was Muzzin a month ago and the return for him looks just as good as what anybody got today if not better. Looking forward to draft day.

On Jan. 23, 2018 Marchand caught Johansson with a flying elbow that eanred him a five-game suspension. Johansson, meanwhile, missed the next three months of action.

Guys how good is Fantenberg

Not a great shutdown guy, but a decent puck mover for the bottom pairing/2nd pp unit. Has a pretty decent wrister from the point that he likes to use, and can make some good passes.

Yes, because Fletcher overvalued him. Scouts who watch those games all year, know what Simmonds can't do, which is a long list. Nobody , of the 6 or so teams 'interested' offered a 1st. And Simmonds had a list, which limited who they could trade him to, and at least one team that offered , wasn't on his list.

He waited until that last minute and got what he could.
