Might just be. Apparently one of the reasons why he and Ottawa could not come to terms, Melynk did not want to cough up a big signing bonus.

Best of luck to Simmonds but he needed to go. Hope he adds some grit to the Preds bottom 6 and he definately likes to skirmish after the whistle. Fans will love him and he's a great teammate.

Well, the most valuable TDL piece they have at the moment is, no joke, Clifford. They don't want to trade him so here we are.

Carter isn't snakebit: he just looks like complete trash. Nobody wants that cap hit with the way he is playing.

Toffoli probably returning a 3rd round pick or something right now. You hold him and flip him next deadline when he is an impending UFA.

Blake did well to move Muzzin early on based on some of these returns we are seeing. He moved the UFAs with no future on this team for more picks. I like that the Fanta one is for next year as opposed to just loading up on this year's draft. Thought they might trade a late pick this year for a late one next year anyways.

Let's just hope that the relief of not being traded leads to better play the rest of this season. Keep on tanking, please.

Still waiting for a sign that Blake is a capable GM and not in over his head. Can’t make deals if they aren’t there but if he stands pat and nothing gets done by Draft Day, you will have to wonder what his plan is.
