You see many multiple Cup winners and you will also see the guys near the top of the playoff scoring list are the top dogs you would think. These big salaried stars are paid to perform and they deliver when it matters.

What's more telling is the fact that if you look at our playoff scoring and leaders over the last five years, the only name routinely near the top is Rielly.

The guy beasts it come playoffs.

Take a walk, breathe. There's still 4 hours left - frankly tonnes of time for a deal which is inevitable.

Yeah I agree, if I was the GM I'm not offering Tavares a contract. If he wanted to take $3M-$4M I would contemplate it.

Also these forums are ass.... can't even handle the traffic.

This is why I've wanted them to pursue a 2nd. line center for months.

So many just didn't support that position because Tavares is the 2nd. line center.

Future planning isn't just keeping your picks, it's having the players onboard who can replace someone in the future.

If Leafs had 2 second line centers there's no leverage for either.

The reality is if Matthews found beast mode again than doing nothing would be fine. Leafs could hang with anybody whos made moves (And need Morgan to play better ) But with them both cooked its probably a first round exit anyways.

Same thing happened the last 3 years. They refuse to stay up with the times and tech.

I'm not trading Knies, sorry, he's an untouchable for me. They need MORE like Knies, not less.

The big moves will be this offseason as I allow the cap space to open up and then I treat it like I'm shopping with an open chequebook
