The problem with a Mrazek for me is the eye test. He looked stiff, bad positioning, not a good goalie

I still believe our best deal is with Vancouver for Miller. The fact that we'd have him for next year is what makes me comfortable offering a lot for him.

If he is claimed, Leafs have 1 hour in trade deadline to grab a secondary goalie. I take it that plan is already in place

There are plenty of goalies who are decent backup and can be had for 3rd round pick. Only if he gets claimed

I was going to say he backs up unless they need the cap space, but there's no cheaper cap option available in the system as it stands I see.

Sateri is NHL-level insurance. No idea why we would add another guy unless he is a legit starter like Varlamov.

Leafs aren't paying the price for Copp. Winnipeg wants a 1st and already has an offer close to that.

Maybe Comtois, but ANA is not going to be pressured to make that move. He fits their team even if he has had an off year.

I would not be surprised if an Arizona/Buffalo claims Mrazek. Should be interesting what plans Dubas has lined up with Campbell still being out.

I still feel like it's a longshot, but Arizona feels like the one chance of having him claimed. They need to get to the floor going forward, they suck anyway so they can afford to gamble and hope he can rebuild value to flip him later, and a veteran Czech goalie to help along their rookie Czech goalie might be a good fit. I'm doubtful, though.

If I’m Montreal, I’d probably claim Sateri for the reason of collecting a free pick from Toronto in a trade. At the same time, maybe he doesn’t get claimed because he and his agent say he won’t report if anyone claims him

I believe the waiver results were pushed back until 2pm EST.

I think it would be a very hard sell for any GM to get a goalie that has another 2 years and has struggled for any type of consistency for the last couple years.

I assume the hope is that we can survive on Kallgren & Hutch/Woll for the early part of this week, and both Campbell and Sateri are ready come late week/next weekend.
